Okland Construction

Okland Construction Okland Construction Company, Inc. operates as a regional general contracting and construction manager Okland's purpose is to create remarkable experiences.

Okland Construction is built upon a continuing legacy of innovation, character, and integrity. Our roots reach back to 1918 when John Okland first applied his knowledge of carpentry and shipbuilding, gained in his native Norway, to create the foundation of Okland Construction. From those humble beginnings, Okland has grown to be a company of skilled builders that have left their mark of craftsmans

hip and uncompromising quality on hundreds of buildings throughout North America. Still a privately-held, family-owned business, Okland continues to honor the same Old World ideals of honesty, value, and efficiency. These ideals are demonstrated in our core purpose and core values as an organization. This not only includes the experiences we strive to give our clients, but also the architects/engineers, subcontractors, and our own employees. Our core values support our purpose and help shape what we do and how we do it. Our core values are: Be Distinct; Earn Trust with Every Action; Deliver Value; Be Humble; and Create Shared Success.

Trailhead is officially welcoming students home at the University of Utah!

Together with the The University of Utah, American Campus Communities, and MHTN Architects, Inc., the team helped bring this new student housing community to life. The six-story, nearly 350,000-square-foot Trailhead adds more than 1,400 beds to campus, along with spaces for climbing, gaming, dining, studying and gathering that support the University’s vision for a more vibrant residential campus experience.

We’re grateful to work alongside the project teams, trade partners, and everyone who helped build Trailhead into a place where generations of Utah students can live, learn, connect, and call home.

The new Trailhead dorms feature a climbing wall, gaming lounge and pho restaurant.

Recognition as a finalist for ENR's Southwest’s Project of the Year is a meaningful milestone for the Glendale Downtown Campus Reinvestment Project!

The team took the original six-story City Hall structure, built in 1984, down to its foundation, floor slabs, and steel frame before rebuilding it for the next generation. Along the way, more than 16,000 square feet were added to City Hall’s footprint, alongside new elevators, stair towers, building systems, public-facing spaces, and a completely renewed exterior.

Recognition like this reflects the collaboration and problem-solving that brought the project to life. Congratulations to the City of Glendale, Holly Street Studio, Light Vox and trade partners, and everyone who helped prepare this civic landmark for its next generation.

We're proud to join Capital City Development Corporation in celebrating the groundbreaking of the 1010 Jefferson Project, a mixed-use project that will expand public parking, support local businesses, and provide a future home for the YMCA Early Learning Center.

This investment reflects the continued growth of Downtown Boise and the partnerships helping shape its future. We're grateful to bring it to life alongside KPFF Consulting Engineers, Cator, Ruma & Associates, and The Land Group, Inc.

Building strong communities extends beyond the jobsite. This summer, our Arizona interns put that commitment into action by volunteering at St. Mary's Food Bank, where they helped pack more than 2,000 emergency food boxes for families in need!

Through hands-on project experience and opportunities to give back, they've continued to grow both personally and professionally.

We're grateful to have a talented and engaged group who are striving to make a positive impact on our projects and in the communities they serve!

Happy Fourth of July from Team Okland!

As our country marks 250 years, the flags flying this week on our jobsites remind us of the people, places, and freedoms worth celebrating.

This country was built by hardworking men and women who care deeply about the communities they call home. As you gather with family and friends this Fourth of July weekend, CARE enough to keep safety at the center of the celebration.

Wishing you a safe and memorable Fourth of July!

Another ribbon cut. Another place for Boise to gather!

We joined SERA Architects, city leaders, and community partners to celebrate the opening of the AC Hotels by Marriott & Element in Downtown Boise.

The dual-brand hotel brings new energy to the heart of the city and gives visitors a place to gather and experience the Treasure Valley. It features 271 guest rooms, an integrated parking structure, a fifth-floor amenity deck with a pool and fitness center, and a rooftop bar, kitchen, and banquet space overlooking the city.

We’re grateful to pay a role in creating a destination that welcomes visitors and gives people a place to experience Boise!

83 days until kick-off, and our team is hard at work inside State Farm Stadium!

We’re back this summer entering Phase 1 of the Cardinals Club Lofts project. These club suites will create more premium seating for the Cardinals organization as they continue to improve the fan experience.

We’re grateful to support another project at State Farm Stadium for the Arizona Cardinals Football Club as we help prepare the venue for the upcoming season.

At Okland, family has always been part of the story, and for the Lewallens, that story spans three generations.

Three generations of family working side by side in the field, carrying forward the values that have shaped Okland for generations: hard work, trust, craftsmanship, and care for the people around them.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate the fathers and father figures of Okland whose leadership, dedication, and example have helped shape not only our projects, but the people who build them. Thank you for the knowledge you pass on, the standard you set, and the legacy you continue to build every day.

Happy Father’s Day!
