Presenting our Q3 2026 Core Values Award winners, Adan Espinoza and Lee Yang!

Adan has been part of WBE’s Traffic Division for many years, starting as a laborer before becoming a state certified electrician and is currently a foreman within the division. He consistently demonstrates our Core Values through his strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to step up whenever the team needs him. What stands out most is that Adan doesn’t just talk about doing the right thing—he shows it through his actions every day. He treats people with respect, takes pride in his work, and is always ready to help.

Lee is another great example of what our Core Values look like in action. He’s hardworking, dependable, and always willing to go above and beyond to support the team and get the job done. It’s also been incredible to watch his growth at WBE—from starting in the field, working his way up to Foreman, and now serving as a Project Manager. That kind of progression takes hard work, ownership, and commitment.

Adan and Lee, thank you for everything you bring to WBE. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

5,000 feet of conduit. One tight schedule.

WBE is supporting a new alternative energy power plant project with accelerated labor and material needs, and our teams came together to keep the work moving.

Our crews installed 2,500 feet of conduit underground, with another 2,500 feet installed above that layer—all coordinated by our BIM team for field use.

With limited laydown space on an impacted site, timing was everything. Thanks to strong planning in the field and a true just-in-time delivery effort from our procurement department, we were able to install all 5,000 feet of conduit on time and meet the project schedule.

Just another day at the office for this team!

WBE's Random Acts of Kindness Group strikes again!

Our Random Acts of Kindness Group recently came together to fill backpacks with school supplies for students at Cloverdale Unified School District. RAK member and Sr. Project Manager, Mark Laskey (2nd from left) paid a district a visit to drop it all off and meet everyone.

It’s a simple gesture, but one that can make a real difference as students head back to school.

We’re proud of the team for continuing to find thoughtful ways to support the communities around us.

A reminder from WBE’s Traffic Signal Division this 8/11: safe projects start before the digging does.

Before any excavation begins, 811 helps identify underground utilities so crews know what they’re working around.

It’s a simple step, but an important one for helping prevent utility strikes, outages, and unnecessary delays.

Know what’s below before you dig. Call 811.

𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝟴𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲!

WBE is working with Energy Systems Group (ESG) on a hospital microgrid project, setting four Tesla Megapack 2 XL battery energy storage units.

Each unit weighs approximately 80,000 pounds and provides 3,916.8 kWh of energy storage capacity. The units will be connected to 2,000 kVA transformers, requiring careful planning, coordination, and ex*****on throughout installation.

The project also includes a carefully planned hospital shutdown, allowing our team to complete the necessary electrical connections while minimizing disruption to critical operations.

Once complete, the microgrid will help strengthen the hospital’s energy resilience and provide greater reliability when it matters most.

Kindness in Action at Rancho Compasión 🐐🐷💙

WBE’s Random Acts of Kindness Committee recently donated $2,000 to Rancho Compasión supporting the animals in their care as well as underserved local children and community members who visit the sanctuary.

Four members of our RAK Committee also stopped by to meet some of the animals and learn more about the organization’s impact firsthand.

We’re proud to support compassion in our local community—both for people and animals.

At WBE, our Core Values are more than words as they guide how we work every day. Each quarter, we recognize two employees, who consistently demonstrate those values through our Core Values Awards.

This quarter's recipients are

🏆 Katie Vollert – Office Award Winner
Katie exemplifies our People First Always core value. Whether she's organizing employee events, serving as Co-Chair of the Giving Committee, or volunteering in our community, Katie is always finding ways to strengthen our culture and bring people together.

🏆 Hobart "Hobie" Gagnon – Field Award Winner
Hobie was recognized for consistently Elevating the Standard through his professionalism and commitment to our clients. His knowledge and dedication left such a positive impression on a recent project punch walk, that the client personally reached out to commend both Hobie and the WBE team.
