For hundreds of years, millstones did one job. They ground wheat and corn at the center of every working farm. When the mills closed, the stones stayed. Too heavy to move, too honest to discard. We find them half-buried in properties like Lee's Hill Farm, and we build around them. They remind us that a garden is never really starting from nothing.

When we design a space like this, we're thinking about slow mornings and gathered meals as much as we're thinking about materials. The cedar pergola, the fresh-cut bench, the trellised herbs spilling against clean hardscape... all of it is meant to invite you outside and give you a reason to stay.
