We're using ChatGPT to help our clients visualize big changes before commiting to them on their home. Here we worked with our client to show them what more black accents would look like before we start the job. We also helped them to see what different sheens might do for the final appearance. Here's a few progress pics from a cabin stripping job we're doing right now. The clean looking wood has been stripped and brightened and is still wet. Once it dries for a few days we will buff off the light fuzzies that are on it and it will be ready for stain.

This is a rotten dowel pin from a timber frame king stand detail that we are rebuilding. This is why we don't like leaving the dowels sitting out from the other surface, it looks good but out in the weather they tend to rot. The rest of the king stand was rotted as well so we removed the entire thing and are rebuilding it.

We can't always get this close but we try. We rebuilt this chimney a few months ago from scratch and custom matched the stain to the finish around it. This is not the same product, and the stain that is on it nearby is several years old and so it weathered and changed color from the original color. So when we custom match stain we custom match how it looks on your house not a preconceived idea of what the bucket will look like.

Now hiring, and partnering with pro's. We are in need of manpower to service our large backlog of work.

We service all of North Georgia, but most of our work is located up and down the 515 corridor. Work that is more than an hour and 15 minutes from Jasper is considered travel work and pay is increased accordingly. We're booked out until June already, and lots of leads are still coming in.

We pay top dollar for skilled painters, stainers, and carpenters. Semi-skilled means that you can accomplish most tasks in the field you're in if you are given direction and have some supervisory oversight nearby. This pays $15-$20 an hour. Skilled means that you can do almost any of the tasks required as long as you are just managing yourself and not others. This level pays $20 to $30 an hour. Expert level we consider as a person that can do all of those things and also run a crew of two to five people. At this level you make $35 an hour plus a percentage of everything your crew does.

If you want to be a W-2 employee we can hire you and do that. If you would rather be a subcontractor because you like your freedom and you have all your own tools, we can do that too. We work our jobs like a mechanic shop where we have prices for tasks and a shop rate, which means if you are good and fast you will make more than everybody else. If you are young or just starting to learn these trades we will put you on the shop rate so you can make more but we can also give you a minimum hourly so that you know you can make a certain amount even if you're slow.

I enjoy training new people so if you're enthusiastic but don't have experience feel free to contact me anyway. I've been in this industry since 1999, and this is the second company I've owned in the area. The first one is still going strong. I invest heavily in equipment to make sure everybody is able to do as much as they can, so the spots are limited for employees.

If you got tons of experience but you're a little bit older and you're tired of climbing on ladders, don't worry we have an all-terrain articulating man lift with a 40 ft boom to get you to most places. Coming in April we have another boom that reaches 82 ft.
