Well, apparently somebody decided the roof needed a little attention.

And by "a little attention," I mean… let's take the whole thing apart and put a new one on!

So here we are, climbing onto the roof—because apparently walking around on the ground was just too ordinary.

First, the old roofing comes off, and we get down to business with the underlayment.

There's material everywhere, the roof is wide open, and everybody looks very confident that this is all going according to plan.

Then come the shingles. Lots and lots of shingles.

And little by little, that construction-zone look starts disappearing.

Row by row, the roof gets covered, and suddenly we have something that actually looks like a roof again.

And just like that—new roof!

Not a bad day's work, especially when you get a view like this while you're doing it.

The roof is finished, the house looks sharp, and thankfully… nobody has to explain how they're getting back down.
