rg, Westminster and Woodsboro. In 2015, C.J. Miller produced over 700,000 tons of asphalt for projects ranging from highways to driveways. Between March and April, we had five outstanding employees celebrate 15 years with our company! Since 2011, each of these men has shown incredible dedication, reliability, and hard work—we couldn’t be more proud. We were able to grab photos with most of them at our Foreman’s Meeting earlier this year (while everyone was cleaned up!).

In order of their service awards and pictures:

Jason is an Excavating Superintendent who excels in dirtwork and brings a strong work ethic to every project—plus enjoys a bit of hunting on the side.

Jerrod comes from a long line of construction workers and CJM employees and has worked his way up to Excavating Foreman, continuing that legacy with pride.

Jake is a Paving Superintendent who has worked his way through the ranks and now helps lead our paving crews with experience and leadership.

Jack is one of our Paving Foremen, known for keeping the crew motivated and smiling—even on the hottest summer paving days.

Dave is a Paving Operator who stays focused and consistent, playing a key role in making sure our roads are smooth and done right.

Last Wednesday, we were proud to participate in the Work Zone Safety Unity Ride hosted by MDOT/SHA, MDTA, and MTBMA as part of National Work Zone Awareness Week.

Pete and Ryan represented us by driving our vehicles—huge thanks to both of them for doing a great job! Patrick was able to capture photos and videos from an overpass as the convoy passed by. There were approximately 250 vehicles traveling together from BWI to the Timonium Fairgrounds, which was impressive to see.

Jake, Doug, and Patrick met everyone at the fairgrounds for the post-ride event. It was a very well-done event supporting a great cause, and we’re proud that CJ Miller participated alongside many of the major general contractors in the area.

Trinity ( fellow FSK alumni) Went out to Francis Scott Key High school this morning to present for their Career Expo for their freshmen to explore different careers and internship opportunities later in their high school career. Look at this student repping the brand !

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Buck wild Truck & Tractor Classic

Named after the founding father of C.J. Miller LLC, Buck Miller, this event honors a man who truly believed in supporting the ag center, local youth, and our community.

Buck was always lending a hand, took pride in his work, and was known for his well-kept equipment and bright red truck signatures.

Now one of the largest truck shows in Maryland, this event continues his legacy in a big way.
All proceeds benefit the Carroll County Agricultural Center and the Carroll County 4H/FFA Fair.

Friday, April 24 is the Tractor pull and Saturday, April 25 is the truck show.

Congrats to Eric Moore on 30 years with C.J. Miller!

Eric started with us in 1996 as a laborer and equipment operator, later becoming a foreman in our concrete and curb division. His journey didn’t stop there—through hard work, dedication, and attending night school, Eric made a major career shift.

For the past two years, he’s been an Estimator Associate, continuing to grow and contribute to the team in new ways.

Thank you, Eric, for your commitment, perseverance, and 30 years of hard work!
