A New Chapter Begins at The Center for Rural Development
Branscum Construction was proud to be part of the groundbreaking ceremony for The Center for Rural Development’s new Regional Training Center, held August 24 in Somerset.

The ceremony brought together community and state leaders to celebrate this important investment in the future of Kentucky’s workforce, including Lonnie Lawson, President & CEO of The Center; Mark Haney, Chairman of The Center Board; Congressman Hal Rogers, 5th District; State Representative Josh Branscum; and State Senator Rick Girdler.

Congressman Hal Rogers has played a significant role in The Center since its beginning, making this milestone especially meaningful.

Branscum Construction is honored to serve as Construction Manager for this exciting project, with Sherman Carter Barnhart serving as architect.

The project includes the construction of a new Regional Training Center, designed to prepare students and workers for high-demand careers throughout our region, including: Aerospace Technology, Defense Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance, Electronics Certifications, And much more.

In addition to the new Training Center, the project includes the renovation and expansion of The Center’s Ballroom.

We are proud to play a role in bringing this vision to life and contributing to a project that will create opportunities, strengthen our workforce, and positively impact our region for years to come.

The SEED Academy Celebrates Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting

Branscum Construction was honored to be part of the ribbon cutting for The SEED Academy in Russell County on August 10th, 2026.

We’re proud to have helped bring this new facility to life—GROWING agricultural technology for the future, creating a space designed to bring agriculture, education, and technology together and provide students and the community with opportunities to learn, explore, and prepare for the future of agriculture.

Branscum President Josh Branscum, who also serves as a Kentucky State Representative, spoke during the ceremony about the importance of investing in education and the future of agriculture.

🚧 Project Update! 🏗️

The Sh**un Bistro & Retail Space in Russell Springs, Kentucky, is officially rising out of the ground! The pre-engineered metal building is going together, and it's exciting to see this project begin taking shape.

Branscum Construction is proud to serve as the General Contractor, with our sister company, Precision Er****on Company, leading the installation of the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB). We're also excited to be partnering with Million Architectural to bring this project to life.

We're grateful to the owners for entrusting our team with their vision. Projects like this represent more than just a new building—they're an investment in local businesses, new opportunities, and the continued growth of the Russell Springs community. We're proud to play a part in bringing this exciting addition to life.

It's always rewarding to watch a vision become reality, and we look forward to sharing more progress as construction continues.

Project Showcase: Columbia Baptist Church – Columbia, Kentucky

Branscum Construction is proud to showcase the Addition and Renovation to Columbia Baptist Church in Columbia, Kentucky.

This project transformed and enhanced the church with improvements designed to better serve its congregation and community, including:

• A welcoming new lobby entrance and gathering
• A new entrance canopy at the rear of the building
• First and second-floor renovations
• Updated classrooms
• Renovated gym/multipurpose entrance
• New storage room
• Modernized restrooms

This morning, Thursday, June 25th, 2026, the Green County Board of Education approved Branscum Construction as the General Contractor for the Green County Athletic Package 2 – Three Building Project. Following approval, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to officially kick off this exciting project.
Branscum Construction is honored to be part of this important investment in Green County Schools’ athletic program and the future of its students. Branscum Construction looks forward to working alongside the Green County Board of Education, the design team at G. Scott & Associates, Architects, and the community to bring this vision to life.
The Green County Athletic Package 2 Project will include three new buildings designed to enhance the experience for student-athletes, coaches, and the Green County community:
• Concession & Restroom Building
• Tennis Restroom & Storage Building
• Field House featuring Dressing Rooms & Storage Facilities

Branscum Construction was honored to be part of the dedication of The Sensory Playspace at The Green at the Russell County Public Library on Saturday, June 20th.

Made possible through the generosity of the Woodland Farm Foundation, this special addition provides a welcoming space where children of all abilities can explore, learn, and play.

The Sensory Playspace features activities designed to engage the ears, eyes, and sense of touch, along with playground areas that encourage movement, imagination, and fun.

We are proud to be part of a project that will create lasting memories and bring families together in our hometown community.

The Green is scheduled for completion in August 2026 — another exciting addition helping shape the future of Russell County.

Today marks an exciting milestone for Russell Springs as construction officially begins on the new Sh**un restaurant!

A groundbreaking ceremony was held today at the future site of Sh**un, celebrating the start of this highly anticipated project for our community. Community members, local supporters, and project partners gathered to commemorate the occasion as work officially got underway on what promises to be a fantastic new dining destination.

Designed by Million Architecture, PLLC, the new Sh**un will soon bring fresh flavors, a vibrant atmosphere, and an exciting new restaurant experience to Russell Springs. The community is eager to see this project come to life and looks forward to welcoming Sh**un’s delicious offerings in the near future.

This groundbreaking represents more than just the start of construction—it’s the beginning of something special for Russell Springs. Excitement is building, and we can’t wait to see Sh**un open its doors!
