Twenty-five years ago today, the world stopped.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We remember the firefighters, police officers, and first responders who ran toward the danger — and the ordinary people who became heroes in an instant.

And we remember what came after: neighbors helping neighbors, communities rebuilding, a country that refused to stay down.

That spirit lives in the work our teams do every day. Building. Repairing. Showing up when it matters.

Today, we pause. We honor. We never forget.

Happy Labor Day from all of us at Thayer Power and Communication.

Today is about the people who do the work. Our crews are out on sites in every kind of weather, doing skilled work that keeps people connected — and doing it with a focus on getting home safe at the end of every day.

Enjoy the day. We appreciate every one of you.

Safety First, Always is one of our Core Values — and Jacob Richison showed exactly what that means.

Before moving his vehicle out in the field, Jacob walked his "Circle of Safety," a full 360 around the equipment. Down in a blind spot, he found a fawn curled up. Jacob likely saved that little fawn's life.

He wasn't expecting to find anything. He walked it because that's how our crews work — taking the time to do things the right way, every time.

Jacob has six kids, and he remembers them wanting to play around and under the trucks when they were small. Doing that walk-around is personal to him.
Thirty seconds, and a fawn walked away.

Way to go, Jacob. We're proud of you.
Safety First, Always — at Thayer, we take safety personal.
