Our crews are on the ground in Louisville supporting a D-SHARP initiative focused on modernizing power distribution infrastructure and strengthening service reliability.

From installing underground conduit and pulling primary and secondary services to setting transformers and retiring existing overhead lines, our teams are delivering comprehensive solutions designed to reduce outages, minimize service interruptions, and build a more resilient power network.

S&N is pleased to welcome Omar Romero as our new Fleet Director for the Locating Division!

With an engineering background and extensive experience leading corporate fleet operations across North America and Mexico, Omar brings a strong foundation in strategic fleet management, operational efficiency, safety, and organizational leadership.

Throughout his career, Omar has held leadership roles with Chrysler/Stellantis, Toyota, Hitachi Energy USA, and JTI USA, where he has managed large-scale fleet operations, developed high-performing teams, and implemented strategies to strengthen performance, compliance, and financial efficiency.

As S&N continues to grow, effective fleet operations play a critical role in supporting our teams in the field. Omar's experience and forward-thinking approach will be valuable as we continue strengthening our operations and positioning the Locating Division for long-term success.

We're excited to have Omar on board and look forward to the leadership, expertise, and perspective he'll bring to our team.

Yesterday, the future of the utility industry got a little brighter at the 2nd Annual Girl Power at Nash Community College!

35 young women stepped outside the classroom and into the field for a day of hands-on experiences, new challenges, and opportunities to discover what a future in the utility industry could look like.

From learning new skills to building confidence and exploring career paths they may have never considered, these young women proved that the future of our industry is full of potential.

At S&N Infrastructure, we're proud to support initiatives like Girl Power that empower the next generation, break down barriers, and show young women that their opportunities are limitless.

A huge thank you to Nash Community College, our fellow sponsors, industry partners, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this event such a success!

S&N Infrastructure was proud to partner with Northern Neck Electric Cooperative for their first-ever NNEC Power Camp, giving students from Northern Neck Technical Center a firsthand look at the utility industry, the work that keeps our communities connected, and the career opportunities available to them.

Members of our S&N Locating Division were on site sharing their knowledge of underground utility locating, the importance of 811, accurate locating practices, and the critical role damage prevention plays in protecting our infrastructure and communities.

Events like this do more than introduce students to an industry. They spark curiosity, open doors, and help build the next generation of skilled professionals.
