Another outdoor transformation completed for Sheena Steyn’s cabin in Broken Bow!

We took a sloped, mostly unusable area of the property and turned it into a beautiful outdoor space designed for guests to enjoy.

This project included:
• Custom putting greens
• Beautiful timber-frame cabana
• Luxury fire pit patio wrapped in flagstone
• Improved and transformed outdoor space to make more of the property usable

For STR properties, it’s not always about adding more square footage—it’s about making better use of the property you already have and creating amenities that give guests another reason to book.

We didn’t just transform this backyard—we created usable space.

The Nichols property had a challenging sloped backyard that limited how much of the property could actually be enjoyed. Our goal was to change that.

Through retaining walls, backfill, drainage, concrete, walkways, and detailed sitework, we turned previously difficult terrain into usable outdoor space designed for gathering, entertaining, and enjoying the property.

This is what a true backyard transformation looks like: taking the space you already have and making more of it usable.

Another Broken Bow project wrapped up!

Today was our final day on Vish Vangapally’s project. We took what was once an underutilized back deck area and transformed it into additional living and entertainment space for the cabin.

The finished space now includes six beds, a full bathroom, and a game room featuring gaming consoles, air hockey, foosball, and table tennis. Not only did we add usable square footage, but the additional sleeping space increased the cabin’s overall occupancy.

B. Broussard Construction is hiring in the Broken Bow/Hochatown area.

We specialize in outdoor living and STR amenities including fire pits, retaining walls, flagstone and stonework, patios, putting greens, sports courts, timber swings, decks, steps, and other custom outdoor projects.

We are looking for someone experienced in:

• Stone, flagstone, block, and masonry
• Retaining walls and fire pits
• Forming, pouring, and finishing concrete
• Small patios, foundations, pads, and footings
• Grading, base preparation, and general construction

Carpentry experience is a huge plus, especially building or assisting with decks, steps, timber swings, and outdoor structures.

We want someone who is smart, hands-on, dependable, skilled with tools, quality-conscious, and able to work independently or with a team.

Great pay based on skill level and experience, with opportunity to grow and advance.

Sometimes a little knowledge today can prevent a major repair tomorrow.

I was recently called out to a cabin that was experiencing water intrusion into the soffits and exterior walls.

At first glance, it looked like a roof or flashing issue. After taking a closer look, the real problem was that the gutter system couldn’t handle the amount of water coming off the roof.

This can become a serious problem.

A continuous water source combined with wet insulation and Oklahoma humidity creates conditions that are conducive to mold and mildew growth.

Addressing the issue early can help avoid costly long-term repairs and potential liability.

I made this short video to share what I found because I believe homeowners benefit from understanding the “why” behind a problem, not just the repair.

Hopefully this information can help someone identify a problem before it becomes a much bigger one.
