Good Information
Good intentions are great, but knowledge is even better. Unsure about your specific situation? Reach out to your local wildlife rehabber for help. A good place to start is Animal Help Now at ahnow.org or the Indiana DNR list of certified wildlife rehabilitators:
https://www.in.gov/dnr/fish-and-wildlife/wildlife-resources/orphaned-and-injured-animals/wildlife-rehabilitators/
Remember that the majority of wildlife rehabbers are volunteers and receive no state or federal funding, so please thank them for their time, be willing to drive the animal if it needs help, and donate to their care.
Take a moment right now to locate your local rehabbers and put their numbers in your phone so you are ready if you ever need that information!
