This porch column has shifted because the brick base has failed—losing its ability to properly support the load. Painted brick can trap moisture over time, which may accelerate deterioration and hide early warning signs.

At Spector Services, we don’t just look at the surface—we identify the root problem. From inspection to full repair, we help you protect your home the right way.

Concrete failure in progress ⚠️

This isn’t just a “crack”—this is spalling caused by corroding rebar. Moisture made its way into the slab, the steel reinforcement began to rust, and as it expands, it literally blows the concrete apart from the inside out.

You can see:
• Exposed rebar
• Surface delamination
• Progressive cracking along the reinforcement line

Left unaddressed, this will continue to spread and compromise the integrity of the slab.

Takeaway:
Concrete doesn’t fail randomly—water intrusion + steel = expansion + damage.

Fix the source of moisture, then repair it correctly. Cosmetic patches alone won’t stop this.

A clean job site isn’t just about appearance. It’s about quality and accountability.

During construction, keeping floors protected, materials organized, and debris controlled helps prevent damage, reduces safety risks, and allows every trade to work efficiently. It also makes inspections smoother and more accurate.

Clean site = better workmanship, fewer delays, and a more professional end result.

Garage access matters more than you think during a home inspection.

Blocked attic entries, tight clearances around structural components, and vehicles parked under access panels can slow everything down—or even prevent a full inspection. That means delays, rescheduling, and sometimes additional costs.

Before your inspection:
• Clear access to attic openings and crawlspaces
• Move vehicles away from inspection points
• Ensure electrical panels and structural areas are reachable

A smooth inspection starts with a prepared space. Small steps upfront can save time, money, and headaches later.
