We offer starlight headliner installs.
Getting a starlight headliner installed transforms the vibe of a car completely, but because the process is incredibly tedious and labor-intensive, the price varies widely depending on whether you pay a pro or take the DIY route.
Here is a breakdown of what you can expect to pay:
Professional Installationoffered with an average price of: $700 to $2,500+
The Process: You are primarily paying for intense labor. A technician has to drop your entire headliner, poke or drill hundreds of individual holes, feed the fiber optic strands through, glue them in place, clip them flush, wire the light engine into your vehicle's 12V power system, and reassemble your interior.
The total price is usually calculated by the star count and vehicle size:
Small Sedans/Coupes (300–500 stars): $700 – $1,200
Mid-Size/Large Vehicles (600–1,000 stars): $1,200 – $2,000
Massive Coverage / Trucks / SUVs (1,000+ stars): $2,000 to $3,000+
Common Shop Upgrades:
Shooting Star / Meteor Effect: Adds $150 – $300.
Suede Wrapping: If you want to upgrade the fabric of your headliner to black suede at the same time, expect an additional $300 – $600. This is highly reccomended if your headliner is not already black.
Additional suede wrapping for the visors and other tan colored roof attachments are not included but are also reccomended at a cost of $300 to $500 due to labor intensity.
Sunroof/Moonroof Accommodations: Some shops charge a $100–$150 premium to work around moving glass mechanism.
