The engine in your Hino has a wild origin story.

Clessie Cummins was a chauffeur and self-taught mechanic with no engineering degree and no formal training. In 1919, a local banker bet on him anyway. That bet became Cummins Inc.

A decade later, he drove a diesel-powered car cross-country to prove diesel could outperform gasoline on cost. The industry took notice.

A four dollar sticker vs. a torched exhaust system. Easy math.

Charlie's got a cheap fix for an expensive mistake: label your DEF tank. Fill it with diesel by accident and you're not just out a $1,000 sensor, you can wreck the whole exhaust system if it goes unnoticed.

Grab a "DEF Fluid Only" sticker, slap it on the tank, tell your drivers. Done.

December 31 doesn't care about your schedule.

Section 179 lets you write off the full purchase price of a new Hino L6 or L7 in year one, no passenger-vehicle cap, both models clear the 14,000 lb GVWR threshold. But the truck has to be in service by December 31, not just ordered.

Lead time and upfitting eat-up weeks fast. We've got units in stock now.

Hino built the world's first commercially available hybrid vehicle in 1991. The Toyota Prius didn't arrive until 1997.

That's right. In 1991, Hino Motors was still an independent company. The HIMR, a diesel-electric hybrid transit bus running in Japanese city fleets, was Hino's own engineering achievement.

The company that got to hybrid technology first was building trucks and buses. That same engineering culture is behind every Hino on our lot today.
