We want to share an employee shoutout we received from our client Atlas Excavating, Inc. Tim Bergan not only works hard for WTC, a Right Traffic company, but he will be graduating from college next month! Thanks for everything you do Tim!

We want to give a huge shoutout to our CLE team for successfully completing a major overnight highway crossing operation in support of Aldridge Electric and AEP.

This highly coordinated effort included 16 highway closures completed overnight with zero incidents, thanks to strong planning, teamwork, and a true safety-first mindset.

We want to recognize our hardworking crew members whose teamwork and commitment kept the operation running safely from start to finish. Thank you to Dan Seiler and Jesse Dugan for their leadership, Dale Toth for leading advanced warning operations, and Deb Nicol for coordinating pre-shift safety meetings.

This is what teamwork and safe ex*****on look like!

WTC showed up and showed out at the 'Making Strides' Breast Cancer Walk in Fort Wayne, Indiana! The October 25th event had an amazing turnout, and the WTC booth was a huge success. The team’s energy, creativity, and dedication made such an impact that they’ve already been invited back for next year’s event!

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who made this possible. The support means so much to the communities WTC serves across Indiana.

Last week our team in South Bend, Indiana created “goodie bags” and a poem (below) for the NWZAW initiative, making sure every employee was given this “goodie bag” to help them recognize this annual event which helps educate the rest of the community on why we go to such careful lengths to protect our employees, clients and public at large as they pass through our work zones.

From the pictures you will see they had fun while keeping the roads of Indiana safe.

“I CHOOSE TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY” - by Don Merrell

I could have saved a life today,
But I chose to look the other way.

It wasn’t that I didn’t care,
I have the time, I was there.
But I didn’t want to seem a fool,
Or argue over a safety rule.
I knew he’d done that job before,
If I spoke, he might get sore.

The chances didn’t seem that bad,
I’ve done the same, he knew I had.
So I shook my head and walked on by,
He knew the risks as well as I.
He took the chances, I closed my eyes,
And with that act, I let him die.

I could have saved the life that day,
But I chose to look the other way.

Now every time I see his wife,
I know I should have saved his life.
That guilt is something that I must bear,
But it isn’t something you need to share.
If you see a risk that others take,
That puts their health or life at stake,
The question asked or thing you say,
Could help them live another day.

If you see a risk and walk away,
Then hope you never have to say,
“I could have saved a life today,
But I chose to look the other way.”

Hundreds of people are killed every year in work zone crashes. Most are drivers, their passengers and pedestrians. That means, as this year’s National Work Zone Awareness Week message says, “Respect the zone so we all get home.”

National Work Zone Awareness Week is April 21-25. Please do your part and respect the zone, so we all get home.

Respect the zone, so we all get home.

Today is - a day where roadside workers wear orange to raise awareness for work zone safety and National Work Zone Awareness Week.
See the Orange. Slow Down.
