How do you know when your pool needs to be replastered — not just cleaned?
It's one of the most common questions we get from homeowners across Sacramento, the East Bay Area, and the Central Valley. Here's what actually signals it's time to replaster:
Rough surface — if it's scratching feet or snagging swimsuits, time, water chemistry, and overall use have gradually worn away the plaster surface. Water chemistry left unbalanced can cause etching, pitting and deterioration of the interior finish.
Staining that won't clear — over time, minerals & scale build up on the plaster and can become unpleasant to look at. If cleaning and chemical treatment haven't cleared it, the surface itself needs to go.
Plaster life — traditional plaster lasts 7 to 12 years. Pebble and aggregate finishes can last 15 to 25 years. If yours is past its window, you're already living on borrowed time.
A fresh surface isn't just cosmetic. It protects your shell, improves water quality, and extends the life of your equipment. Call 800-517-3115 or request a free consultation through the link in bio.
