Our small business operates out of small town VT helping to drive vineyard development and winemaking culture in New England. It’s been 6 years that have felt like 5 seconds — we started with backyard installations moved into commercial maintenance and now do both while brokering fruit deals and coordinating custom crush operations.

2025 harvest is COMPLETE‼️what a season :)
Farming grapes in VT this year presented some serious challenges. But we made it through and the resulting fruit was high yielding and high quality. 😋😋😋

It’s always a pleasure to see the grapes we grow respected and cared for at their next stop whether that is fermenting, roasting, or just becoming juice. 🍇🍇🍇

The grapes shown here are Marquette & La Crescent both grown at the beautiful . They could be considered VT’s signature red and white varieties. This year we picked from September 2nd - October 1st under ☀️☀️☀️ skies. Another dream harvest in the books 📚 ✅

🎉🎊 5 YEARS OF VT VINEYARDS 🎊🎉

Looking back at 2024, it’s surreal to think about having completed our fifth year as a company. We started VT Vineyards in 2020 which feels like yesterday. But at the same time - while reflecting on all of the work we’ve done, people we’ve met, places we’ve traveled, and things we’ve learned - this last five years feels signficant. It feels like we’ve really grown and built something.

We’ve been SO lucky during that time to get married, buy a house, travel to wineries and vineyards in France, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, Portugal, and many other places - become parents, live our dreams and help others live theirs. This business & community has in real ways become family to us , and to everyone who has been involved, one way or another, thank you.

Heading into 2025 we have more to do than ever. We’ve expanded into different markets, specifically orchards and custom gardens. We plan to make capital investments that will increase our efficiency and allow us to better support the VT wine community. We’re planting more vines than ever! We’re managing more acreage! We can’t wait to see what another year brings, but one thing is for sure - there will be many grapes!!!

🍇🍇 THE PICK IS IN ‼️ 🍇🍇

Conditions for harvesting the 2024 vintage have been AMAZING. We’ve seen sunny skies and limited rain for the last month which has lead to easy picking days and nice, clean clusters.

So far we’ve brought in around 10,000 lbs of grapes including Marquette, La Crescent, L’acadie Blanc & Prairie Star. We’ve still got the Frontenacs, more Marquette & Petite Pearl to go!!

Once all the fruit is in, we’ll get back to building and trellis work as we continue to support local, commercial wineries and establish new residential projects across New England❗️

Taking some time to reset as we move through our installation season & into planting!

This week, we’re building trellis for a 1,200 vine project up in Grande Isle - Marechal Foch & mystery variety! 😎😎😎.

Soon we’ll be picking up over 1,000 vines from to support our 10+ hobby vineyard builds all over VT and New England!

Then, to cap off the installation season we’re working with to trellis a section of new plantings at their beautiful island property :)

We’re back from a small, winter, social hiatus to wish everyone a very happy & healthy new year! 🥳🥳🥳

The VT Vineyards family grew by one 👶 in 2023 around harvest - which has occupied our time since in the best way. Only problem is she sleeps on the job 😴😴😴

But vineyards aren’t going to prune, mow, trim, tie, spray & plant themselves! So we’ll be getting back in the field and sharing our work as usual, very soon. 🚜🌱🍇

In the meantime, we’ve got some made-in-VT patch beanies available (ty 😊) to keep you cozy during dormancy. 📥 if you want one! ☃️☃️☃️

This year’s harvest was unforgettable 🫶

Yeah, it was a rainy summer. The farming was hard and a late frost hit that left everyone wondering what their crop would ultimately look like. But, we got to the end of the tunnel and found a beaming light and lots and lots of grapes✨🍇

Very happy to add to the crew ( ❤️) 😉 .. and thanks to the familiar faces - for your grape picking prowess.

We harvested & moved nearly 20,000 lbs of hybrid grapes between 6 vineyards and delivered them to winemakers around New England. Big shouts to the folks who supported this effort:

VT (& New England & cold climate) wine is a cool place to work, even on the viticultural periphery. Especially grateful to our friends and family in this space for driving such a dynamic, compelling industry.

Winter is around the corner, so we’ll turn our attention to new builds and developing future projects. Trellis installs 🔜

🐤🐦 BIRD NETTING 🐦🐤

This last week we wrangled netting over our vines to protect the grapes from a whole bunch of different hungry creatures!

At many vineyards in VT this task is essential as birds, deer, raccoons, bear, and maybe the worst of all turkeys! wait patiently for the grapes to ripen before feasting on any fruit they can access.

This year we acquired a custom implement for the tractor to feed netting easily over the top of each row. Absolute game changer. If you have vines you’d like to have netted quickly and efficiently, let us know. We’d be happy to help!
