Home maintenance tip:
Remember to clean your stove regularly to prevent burning smells and possible fire hazards. If your burners are causing smoke, it may be time to clean them. Take the grates off for gas stoves, or coils for electric stoves and scrub them. Allow them to dry before putting them back on. Don’t forget to scrub the trays underneath for electric stoves as well. Did you know, you can also lift the entire top of your stove up to clean underneath where food can drop and collect? Maintaining a clean stove is not only important to keep your kitchen smelling clean, but also to prevent potential fire hazards as food and grease can become highly flammable under heat. Induction stoves have it easy, simply use any stove/oven cleaner and wipe the surface well.
