Looking forward to getting started on this one next week.

Full cabinet installation including the kitchen, four bathrooms and laundry room, followed by all of the finish trim and details that bring everything together.

Looking forward to working with Justin Doyle Homes and Landmark Kitchen and Bath Shoppe on this project.

There’s a lot of work behind those drawings. Looking forward to seeing this one come to life.

There’s a lot to like about this bathroom remodel, but that huge walk-in shower is hard to beat.

I also really love how the blue cabinetry turned out and how it works with the clean white finishes throughout the bathroom.

And of course, one of my favorite finishing touches an original piece of artwork by Anthony Murrill . It’s always fun when I get to bring both sides of what I do together in the same project.

Do your shingles look like this?

That white material you’re seeing is the fiberglass mat inside the shingle. The protective granules and asphalt coating have deteriorated enough that the underlying mat is now exposed.

When shingles reach this condition, they’re no longer providing the protection they were designed to provide. You may not have a leak today, but the roof is telling you that it’s time to start planning for replacement.

Does your home need a new roof?

At a roof inspection yesterday, I pointed out a couple of the issues I found on this approximately 25 year old roof, including areas where the shingles have deteriorated to the point that the fiberglass mat is becoming exposed.

I thought I’d share a little of what I’m looking for when I inspect an aging roof. A roof doesn’t have to be actively leaking before it starts showing signs that it’s nearing the end of its useful life.

If your roof is getting older and you’re not sure what condition it’s in, give me a call or send me a message. I’d be happy to take a look and give you an honest assessment of whether it needs attention now—or still has some life left in it.

Educational post of the day-

I’ve been receiving many of these types of construction sales ads in the mail lately.
My opinion and advice to you is this-

If a company can offer the kind of discounts listed here, before even looking at your project, they are charging too much to begin with.
When prices are overly inflated, a company can offer huge discounts and still make a profit.

So… don’t fall for these big company sales tactics. Weather it’s me or your favorite neighborhood contractor- call a local guy.
