The wand pass is not the last step.

These photos show two stages of the same carpet-cleaning job. The extraction wand helps recover loosened soil and moisture in overlapping passes. Afterward, the carpet is groomed and an air mover is positioned to keep air moving across the room.

Drying time varies with the carpet, room conditions, and airflow, so this post does not promise one exact number.

This outdoor canopy was photographed in the middle of the job. Green buildup was still visible across the upper section, while the straight edge below showed how far the cleaning had reached.

That in-process boundary is useful: it gives us a clear visual checkpoint before continuing across the next section.

Why can grout look darker while it is still wet?

Water temporarily changes how light reflects from tile and grout, so color can look uneven during cleaning. We extract the solution, let the surface dry, then check the grout again under normal light.

A floor can look dramatically different while part of it is still wet. That contrast may help show where the work is happening, but it is not a fair finished before-and-after comparison.

These photos show our equipment working on patterned tile, a closer in-process view, and a later view after the equipment was removed. A fair result review comes after moisture is no longer changing how the grout looks. Cracks, missing grout, wear, and permanent discoloration should be evaluated separately from removable soil.

Why do grout lines darken again after regular mopping?

Grout is porous, so soil can settle into the lines even when the tile surface looks clean. For a deeper reset, we agitate the tile and grout, then use professional extraction to lift the loosened soil instead of spreading it across the floor.

After cleaning, we inspect the grout before discussing sealing as a separate add-on. Sealing is not right for every surface, but when it is appropriate it can make routine care easier.
