🥵 This isn't an old photo from the middle of summer.
Our team serviced this Magnolia lawn last week and confirmed that what you're seeing here is heat stress.
The calendar may be moving toward fall, but Houston lawns are still dealing with intense heat, and some are really starting to show it.
Heat-stressed turf may:
☀️ Lose its green color and take on a straw-like appearance
🌱 Wilt or struggle to bounce back after being walked on
💧 Show more stress in areas with inadequate sprinkler coverage or intense sun exposure
But here's the important part: brown grass doesn't automatically mean “just add more water.”
Heat stress, poor sprinkler coverage, insect activity, disease, and other lawn issues can sometimes look surprisingly similar. Adding more water without knowing the cause isn't always the answer.
That's why our team looks at what's actually happening in the lawn before making a recommendation.
Fall is coming... eventually. 😂🍂
