Ladies, this one is for you!

If your Pinterest boards are filled with projects you would love to tackle, but you have no idea where to start, or you are tired of waiting for someone else to do it for you, join us for Power Tool Basics for Women.

On Wednesday, July 15, from 6:00–9:30 PM, you will learn how to safely and confidently use common household power tools while building a sturdy step stool of your own.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone looking for hands-on practice in a supportive, women-led environment.

Update: Only one spot left!

Our first Foundations of Woodworking for Teens class went off without a hitch. In this day of technology and social media, we love that we have the privilege of sharing this old craft to the next generation.

This is a serious class meant for those that want to learn, and these kids did. They each made an exotic wood cutting board, a chess board and a wooden mallet. These projects are designed to teach a broad spectrum of skills while helping to build immediate and lasting confidence.

And that’s just what it did. Our next Foundations for Teens kicks off next Wednesday, July 15.

This feels a little awkward to ask, because asking people to vote for us feels strangely selfish.

But the truth is, Brian and I are really proud of the life we’ve built together. After 12 years apart, we found our way back to each other, built a family, built a workshop, and somehow found ourselves building a mission that has become bigger than either one of us.

We entered America’s Favorite Couple because our story is about love, yes, but also about what love can build when it turns into family, work, purpose, and service.

So here we are, asking.

If you have a minute, we would be so grateful if you would vote for us and help move our story forward.

Thank you for cheering us on, always.

One couple will share their love story in a Variety Magazine advertorial, take home $20,000, and enjoy a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum, plus Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis.

Our hearts are full.

To everyone who joined us last night for our first ever Built on Freedom, thank you.

Even a broken AC unit in 97-degree weather couldn’t stop the love, generosity, laughter, and sense of community that filled that room. It was warm in every possible way, but more than anything, we felt how many people showed up because they believe in this mission and the veterans and first responders it serves.

To our sponsors, donors, volunteers, guests, alumni, friends, family, and every person who bought a ticket, shared the event, donated an item, carried a table, grilled food, sold a raffle ticket, showed up early, stayed late, or simply believed in what we are building, thank you.

We are still tabulating totals and will share more soon, but for now, please help us congratulate our Meat Raffle winners Carol Sobczak, Kathy Epker, Michael Metzger, and our Grand Prize winner, Kris Owens.

Last night was hot.
Last night was imperfect.
But last night was also beautiful.
And we are deeply, deeply grateful.

Today at CAMP for ALL, we started with a simple idea: a slice of something.

Each participant was given two basic wood slices. Same shape. Same starting point. Same invitation to create. And then imagination took over.

Some became watermelon, candy corn, pizza, trees, night skies, patterns, colors, and designs we never could have planned for. Each piece became a little reflection of the person who made it.

But the most beautiful part was what happened when all of those individual slices were placed back together. What started as identical pieces became a mosaic of creativity, personality, and belonging.

That is the heart of CAMP for ALL.

It is not about everyone making the same thing. It is about creating a space where everyone gets to make something their own, while still being part of something beautiful together.

We are so grateful to partner with the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio and the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities to help create these shared experiences for neurodiverse and neurotypical kids.

Different ideas. Different hands. Different ways of seeing the world.
One beautiful table.

Our next Camp for All is Sunday, July 12. https://www.inspiredlumberworkshop.com/event-details/nailed-it-camp-for-all-2026-07-12-12-00

One of the things I love most about the Workshop is that we are able to adjust the experience to meet people where they are.

CAMP for ALL is such a beautiful example of that. ❤️

In partnership with the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio and the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Inspired Lumber Workshop gets to create a space where neurodiverse and neurotypical kids can build, create, and connect together in a way that feels welcoming, hands-on, and meaningful.

Because sometimes inclusion is not about creating something completely separate. It is about being willing to shape the experience differently so more kids can feel comfortable, confident, and included.

It is about making sure everyone has a seat at the table.

And when that happens, the project they take home is only part of what they build.

We still have a few seats available for tomorrow's Camp for All. Ages 8-13 are from 12:00-2:00pm, and ages 14-18 are from 3:00-5:00pm. The cost is only $5 per child. RSVP's are required. Tomorrow not work - we have dates available all the way through the fall.

I love when families come in together to craft. This family’s experience at the Workshop was given as a gift and based on the text I received a bit ago from the gift giver - mom, grandma and designated baby holder - I think it was well received.

“Everyone had a great time today! The girls can’t stop talking about it, and everyone loves their final product. I’m sure you’ll see us back again:) Thanks for providing the environment for a fun family outing.”

These girls are crazy smart, wicked funny and creatively gifted. I mean, we’ve never had a plant shelf with fur that will be a dedicated shelf for a stuffed raccoon. But if it was going to happen, I’m glad it happened at the workshop.

There were a lot of laughs today, some good old fashioned learning - “Please spell, perpendicular”, and squares aren’t always square, but they can be triangles.

Thank you all for a really fun day. I hope we see you back soon!!
