This Thai Constellation is a STEAL from Trader Joe’s! But before adding it to your collection, a few simple steps can give it the best chance to thrive and help keep pests away.

A little extra care when you bring a new plant home can make a big difference. 💚

My fiddle leaf fig sits right by a west-facing window, so it gets lots of bright afternoon light. ☀️

Since that afternoon sun can get pretty strong, I use light-filtering blinds to soften the direct sunlight while still keeping the room nice and bright.

Fiddles LOVE light, and they usually do best much closer to a bright window than people realize. If yours isn’t growing the way you’d like, its light might be the first thing to check.

If you’d like my fiddle care routine and a list of what I use to care for mine, comment LIGHT and I’ll send it your way. 🪴

This was SO easy to put together. I used an old picture frame, removed the glass, and turned it into the prettiest little display for tiny potted plants, propagations, and fresh-cut flowers.

Such a simple way to give an old frame a new life while putting your plants and flowers on display.

Would you try this in your home?

Not afraid to get a little dirt under your nails? 😂🪴 Your finger might be the best moisture meter you already own!

It’s my favorite way to check the soil because I can actually feel how much moisture is still there.

But if getting your hands dirty isn’t your thing, a soil probe or moisture meter works great too!

Whichever method you choose, always check the soil BEFORE you water. 🌱💦

Comment “HOYA” for all the links, including the plant food I use for my Hoyas and what I use to keep fungus gnats out of their soil! 🌿

Ready to take your Hoya to the next level? Here are 2 more tips you don’t want to miss:

4. Give them as much bright, indirect light as possible. The brighter, the better! ☀️
5. Fertilize every time you water. Keep it light and consistent, and watch them take off! 🌱

Sometimes plants get so heavy that even the plant support needs a little help keeping them upright. That’s where this simple hack comes in handy!

All you need is a wall hook and some string to give your plant that extra support and keep it standing tall.

For the first two years, my Fiddle Leaf Fig grew, but very slowly.

In 2025, I started feeding it consistently, and that’s when I saw a huge shift. More new leaves, stronger growth, and it just kept going.

Now in 2026, it’s still pushing out new growth.

Light gives your plant the energy to grow, but it still needs nutrients to support all that new growth. For mine, getting consistent with both made all the difference.

Push the spike into your soil, add water to the bottom of the outer pot, and it slowly wicks moisture up to the roots automatically. No complicated setup, nothing fancy.

One important tip: let all the water fully absorb before refilling, and wait for the soil to dry out between waterings. This keeps roots healthy and prevents rot.

They also come in different sizes so they work for everything from tiny herbs to larger houseplants.

Fill it up before you leave and your plants are covered while you’re away. 🌴
