I’ve been doing my underpainting in acrylic and I couldn’t recommend it more. It allows me to be really loose and free because it’s getting covered up with oil anyways. It also lets me get a lot of the work done as far as getting the bigger shape right. Also, it lets me know what I’m having trouble with. This was done in about 30 minutes.
