A little ✨before & after✨ magic for one of Temple’s Ronald McDonald statues! ❤️💛

I’m so excited to have the opportunity to give these guys some much-needed love and bring them back to life for our community. Public art doesn’t always mean creating something brand new. Sometimes it means taking something that’s been part of a place for years and making it feel special again. 🎨

And apparently, sometimes it means spending several hours alone with a giant clown. Which, for me, is an act of bravery all by itself. 🤡😂

One Ronald glow-up down, more to come! I can’t wait to show y’all the rest. ❤️ Ronald McDonald House

🎨 FALL ART CLASS ENROLLMENT IS OPEN! 🎨

We’re welcoming NEW students to Sarah and Brushes beginning the first week of September!

This year we have THREE class options:

✨ Wednesdays | 4–6 PM
✨ Thursdays | 4–6 PM
✨ Homeschool Thursdays | 11 AM–1 PM

Our weekly art classes are about so much more than following along with one project. Students get to explore painting, drawing, watercolor, sculpture, mixed media, woodworking and more while developing their own creative style.

And this year we’re doing even MORE! 👀

🎨 Field trips
🎨 Community art involvement
🎨 Student markets
🎨 Opportunities to sell their artwork
🎨 Entrepreneurial skills
🎨 Lots of creative experimenting and probably a little paint where paint absolutely does not belong 😂

Classes are kept small so students have plenty of hands-on help and room to grow.

💰 New students: $150/month
🎨 Supplies included
📍 Sarah and Brushes Art Studio | Temple, TX

If you have a kiddo who LOVES art and wants a place where they can really dig into it, comment or message me and I’ll send you registration information!

Spots are limited for each class. 💛

We have a controversial opinion…

Every business should have at least one wall that’s memorable.

People remember experiences, not beige walls.

We wanted this mural to make people smile the second they walked into the room, and I think we pulled it off. 🌸 Check it out at Magnetic Whimsy in Belton TX!

What do you think? Too colorful… or just colorful enough? 👀👇

Opportunity ✨🎨

Hello! This June, I’ll be running three creative, high-energy art camps and I’m looking for volunteers (ages 15+) to join me as camp counselors!

📅 Camp Schedule:

* Weeks 1 & 3: Cultural Activities Center (Temple) | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
* Week 2: Screaming Goat Funny Farm | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

🎉 Camp Themes:

* 🕵️‍♀️ Junior Art Academy (Week 1): Campers become art detectives and work together to solve a mystery through creative projects
* 🐐 Art on the Farm (Week 2): Time with animals, hands-on art, and a fun water/pool party on Friday
* 🚌 Magic School Bus Camp (Week 3): A mix of art and science with interactive, themed projects

🌟 Volunteer Role:
Volunteers will act as camp counselors—helping guide activities while still getting to join in the fun! You’ll be:

* Assisting kids with art projects, games, and experiments
* Helping keep camp running smoothly as an extra set of eyes
* Encouraging creativity and making sure campers are engaged and having a great time

✨ What You’ll Get:

* Verified volunteer hours
* Hands-on experience working with kids
* A fun, creative, and energetic environment

🎒 What to Bring:

* Lunch & water
* Clothes you don’t mind getting messy
* A positive attitude and willingness to jump in and help

🎭 Bonus:
On the first and third Friday evenings, we’ll have a camper showcase where families come see what the kids created! Volunteers are encouraged (but not required) to stay, and dinner will be provided for those who do.

If you’re interested or have any questions, feel free to reach out—I’d love to have you be part of the fun this summer!
