Just wanted to let everyone know that if things have seemed a little quiet around here lately, it’s because I’ve been spending time in prayer and trying to follow where the Lord is leading me in this season. I’ve honestly wrestled with this for a while because I felt Him pressing it on my heart, but I wasn’t fully sure exactly what He was asking me to step away from.
For now, I feel led to stop worrying about posting and creating content and simply be obedient in this season. I will still be making all of your favorite products and keeping products stocked at the Apple Barrel Antique Store in Oxford. So if you need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m still here and available for your products, just a little quieter online for now.

There’s just something about old, handmade quilts 🤍
I’ve always loved them… the stories and the care woven into each one. But I could never bring myself to cut into them for all the projects I’ve dreamed up, even the worn tattered ones.
So finding this bundle already cut felt like such a sweet little gift from the Lord. It’s the permission I didn’t know I needed.
Now it’s time to dust off the sewing machine and start creating 🧵
What should I make first?

They’re finally here
So many of you have been asking about our summer simmer pot blends ☀️… and they’re ready!
I almost always have one going, filling our home with a clean, fresh scent using only real, natural ingredients.
No synthetic fragrances, ever!

Do you have a favorite egg color? Or do you love the mix as much as I do?

Warning: Garden plans have a way of growing… 🌱

New garden spot in the making.

I’m over here dreaming about all the things we’ll grow: tomatoes, squash, herbs, flowers…
Meanwhile, if you watch the video closely you’ll see my husband living his best life on that tractor! Don’t let him tell you any different, clearly he’s just as excited as I am about the garden.
Tell me… what’s the one thing you always make room for in your garden each year?

Well… yesterday I caught something to the arm that came flying out of the lawnmower and it left a pretty deep bruise. It definitely could’ve been worse, and I’m thankful the Lord’s hand of protection was over me in that moment.

I happened to have some comfrey oil infusing for a batch of salves I’m working on. I started applying a little of that to the bruise and it’s already looking so much better today.

I’m always thankful the Lord created plants with such incredible healing properties. Moments like this remind me how good it is to keep simple, natural remedies around.

Settling into the pasture and taking to training so naturally, she’s already exceeding my expectations & future is looking sweet!

When it comes to homesteading.. patience is just part of raising something good!

Today’s homeschool and homestead lesson took us outside building a fence for the pasture. Life skills & learning the value of hard steady work along with measuring twice and some problem solving. These are the days 🫶🏻
