Every deck restoration receives a careful sanding of the handrails, followed by wood filler and caulk in cracks to keep the water out. What you end up with are handrails that are silky smooth under your hands. What you don’t end up with are splinters in your hands. This project had a warped board and some surprise rot on one board that needed to be replaced. Customer requested an upgrade to stainless fasteners. Finished off with two coats of a quality product and this is the result. Ready to give several more years of service. Anyone can come out and slap a coat of stain on a deck and call it good.
