Sometimes tools are really big and look like trailers 😂 a ton of community support, and a bit of super saving made this purchase possible. No more driving home because we forgot something!! Eventually 😂 because now we have another project!

So what happens when we start a repair that we can’t finish?

First, we will always try to be as honest as possible with you about our limits up front. But there will be times where we have to stop for safety reasons, or because the project has exceeded our capabilities.

When that happens:
1. We discuss with you why we can’t finish.
2. We make a recommendation for who you would need to call next.
3. We invoice you ONLY for the materials we have purchased for your project and ONLY if those materials will be needed for the next contractor.

We value our relationships with our clients, and that means being honest when we can’t do what is asked. As a business owner, I will never put my crew in a situation that I know is unnecessarily dangerous, and I’ll never knowingly put our clients in a situation where their biggest investment could be damaged by what we do. That’s a promise I will never break.

Long post alert:

We have a bit of extra time this week, so I wanted to share a bit about our mission.

As a single mom, I had so many things I needed to pay for with limited funds. Holes in drywall, fixing a running toilet, painting, changing that doorknob, etc were so far outside my budget that I couldn’t even think about hiring someone.

So I learned to do it myself. And you can do it too.

We have a Homeowner Empowerment program that will teach you what to do. How it works:

1. You have a minor repair.
2. You hire us to do the repair
3. We work WITH you on the repair, and teach you how to solve the problems that come up when things don’t go according to plan (because 90% of the time, they won’t😂)

The only things we don’t teach our clients are structural, electric or major plumbing repairs.

Drywall? You can do that.
Painting? That too.
Hanging shelves? No sweat.
Toilet running? Usually something simple (and cheap)

We want to help give back to our community. Although we are in the business of making money, we recognize that there are people who can’t pay for our services.

We want to offer a small home repair for free (we cover the materials too!) to someone who otherwise couldn’t get the repair done. Feel free to refer someone who might need it or refer yourself!

Today, I learned that I can truly trust my team to pick me up when I don’t know something, even if I don’t want to admit I don’t know something.

Brandy learned how to do a California drywall patch, and decided it wasn’t her thing 😂 I think she did an amazing job for her first time.

Replaced some beams that were dangerously rotten and resealed the structure. These women are troopers. 100 degree heat on a metal roof is no joke. I’m so thankful for them! This structure will last another 5-10 years as it stands.

Exterior and interior painting and trim work!
On the outside: scrape the old peeling paint and repaint.
On the inside: complete unfinished trim work, install flooring in the loft, and stain the beams.
