Hen Highlight: Oreo, my 7 year old OG chicken. She is head hen around here! It’s been years since she has laid an egg, but I love her presence on our farm! If you look closely, her feet are swollen and aged. She has gray hair around her face. She walks with a slight limp from being rolled over by Shadow many years ago. Most people would have culled her by now, but we’re animal lovers first, and farmers second. ❤️
