In 2016, I walked into Teen Challenge as a student. I didn’t expect to fall in love with the ministry the way I did. I stayed on as an intern for a year, then became a staff member, and eventually the program manager. Three years of pouring into men who were fighting for their lives.

When that season came to an end, it was bittersweet. I was walking into the unknown — I had my family and the responsibility to provide for them. I had no idea what was next. But looking back now, I can see God was already working. Those years at Teen Challenge — they were preparation. He was building the character I would need for the next season and He was bringing me the very clients who would become the foundation of Seachrist Home Improvement. I never dreamed of owning a business. I never dreamed of where this would go.

Coming up on our 5 year anniversary, I’m humbled by how far we’ve come. What started as a risk and a leap of faith has grown into a company doing high-quality construction work I’m proud of. I’ve got employees I trust, clients I love, and subs who’ve stuck with me and become family. The road has had its ups and downs and none of this was guaranteed. But all of this is because I said yes to Jesus.
And now, with my CRC license in hand, it’s time for the next chapter: Seachrist Construction.

Same values. Same commitment to doing it right. Just building on everything God has brought us through.
