Sometimes the value of aerial photography isn't just showing a property from above. It's showing everything around it.

While capturing imagery for a local 20-acre parcel, this view opened up beyond the property: winding water, wetlands, rolling tree cover, and miles of southeastern Wisconsin landscape.

That's one of the things I enjoy most about aerial real estate photography. A ground-level photo can show you the land. A well-planned aerial image can show you where that land lives.

For acreage, rural properties, commercial sites, and unique real estate, perspective matters.

As a one-person business, I am often out flying, meeting with clients, capturing footage, or working through photo and video edits. That can make it difficult to answer every call or message as quickly as I would like.

I have heard that feedback, and I am working to make the entire experience easier.

The AeroSight Services website is being updated with a new client booking and account system that will allow you to:

✅ Select and schedule services online
✅ Create an account or sign in securely with Google
✅ View upcoming and completed projects
✅ Request scheduling changes
✅ Access completed photos, reports, and other deliverables from your dashboard

This is one small step toward making AeroSight Services easier to work with, from the initial booking through final delivery.

The new system is still being refined, but I am excited about what it will offer clients and look forward to sharing more soon.

🎡 Three days. Multiple cameras. One incredible Sussex Lions Daze weekend -- turn that volume Up!

After sorting through more video footage clips than I probably want to admit (300+), I finally narrowed the weekend down to just under three minutes.

I’ve been attending Lions Daze since I was a teenager - which means this event has been part of my summers for more than 40 years. I’m not trying to date myself here, but the carnival rides may have gotten faster while I’ve gotten considerably less interested in riding them. 😄

This year was especially meaningful. Late Friday, I received permission to capture aerial footage of the festival, and I’m incredibly grateful to the Sussex Lions Club and everyone involved for allowing AeroSight Services to document the weekend from a different perspective.

Although AeroSight Services wasn’t an official event sponsor, I am proud to contribute this video and help showcase the carnival, live music, parade, fireworks, food, families, volunteers, and community spirit that make Lions Daze such a special Sussex tradition.

A huge thank-you also goes to the sponsors, organizers, volunteers, performers, public-safety personnel, vendors, and everyone else who helped make the weekend possible.

I hope you enjoy this look back at Sussex Lions Daze — and I hope the Lions, Village, sponsors, and community will help share it!

What an incredible day at Uptown Motors’ 80th Anniversary Car Show.

AeroSight Services was proud to provide aerial photography and videography for an event that brought together amazing vehicles, local businesses, families, volunteers, and support for the MACC Fund.

Thank you to Uptown Motors for the opportunity to help capture the energy of the day - and congratulations on making the Uptown Car Show an annual tradition. Looking forward to 2027!

Last night, AeroSight Services had the opportunity to capture aerial footage of the Fourth of July fireworks at Sussex Village Park.

Growing up in this community made the experience especially meaningful. I am truly grateful to the Village of Sussex board members and staff who worked with me to make it possible, as well as the local law-enforcement personnel who helped ensure the flight could be conducted safely and respectfully.

It was an honor to capture this celebration from a different perspective. I hope everyone had a happy and safe Fourth of July!

Last night, I had the opportunity to provide aerial photography and videography for the Sussex Village Park Grand Opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

It was a great evening for the community, with live music, food trucks, families, local leaders, and so many people coming together to celebrate a beautiful new space in Sussex.

The client has received the full collection of photos and video, approximately 12GB of captured media, and I am looking forward to seeing how everything comes together in their final edit. In the meantime, I wanted to share this aerial image from the evening.

This project involved roughly six hours of work between flight planning, drone operations, ground photography with the big lens, reviewing the captured media, and securely delivering everything to the client.

When you genuinely enjoy the work, it is hard to call it a job.

Grateful for the opportunity to serve the Sussex community and help document an event made possible by so many hardworking people.
