✅ UPDATE: ZELDA HAS BEEN FOUND! 🐾💙

This one has a happy ending…

After a community member saw one of our posts and reached out, I connected with Zelda’s owner and headed to the location of the sighting. I launched the drone and began aerial sweeps while multiple people showed up to help search on the ground.

And here’s the important part…

👉 It wasn’t the drone that found Zelda.
She was hiding in the shade next to a building I had already flown over.

It was her owner and the people on the ground who spotted her and safely brought her out.

This is exactly how these searches succeed:

• Flyers
• Social media
• Community awareness
• People showing up and helping

That’s what brought Zelda home.

We truly live in an incredible community—the number of people who stepped up, shared posts, and came out to help made all the difference.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who shared, looked, and supported this effort.

⚠️ But we’re not done…

Bella is still missing.
Please continue to keep an eye out and share her information. She still needs our help.

Let’s keep showing up for each other. 💙
This is what community looks like.

🚨 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 – 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 🚨

I want to share an update on two recent searches we’ve been actively working…

Despite multiple drone flights and thermal sweeps, both dogs are still missing. 💔

🐾 Zelda (Australian Shepherd)
• Missing since April 4
• Area: Upland Dr & Hwy 164 (Richfield / Colgate area)
• I flew ~2.5 hours Tuesday evening covering wooded and residential zones

🐾 Bella (Yorkie – 5 lbs)
• Missing since April 3
• Area: Colgate Rd (Sussex area)
• I flew ~2.5 hours on Easter and again Wednesday evening (cut short due to weather)

These are active situations. Thermal helps—but ground sightings are still the most important factor right now.

👉 If you are in these areas, please:
• Keep an eye on your property, under decks, sheds, and wooded edges
• Do NOT chase or call out if spotted
• Note location, time, and direction of travel
• Report sightings immediately (see contact info in attached flyers)

These dogs may be in survival mode, which means they can hide, travel quietly, and avoid people—even their owners.

If you ever find yourself in this situation, please know:

🚨 LOST DOG – COLGATE / MONCHES RD AREA 🚨

We need the community’s help locating Zelda, an Australian Shepherd missing since Saturday, April 4th around 3 PM near Monches Rd in Colgate.

Zelda is black & white with a half white face and brown on her paws, approximately 46 lbs.

This is an active search area (see map). The area includes wooded sections, residential pockets, and open land—ground sightings are critical right now.

👉 If you see Zelda:
• DO NOT chase or call out
• Do not approach
• Note exact location, time, and direction of travel
• Report sightings immediately

Dogs in survival mode often avoid people—even those they know. Calm observation gives us the best chance of bringing her home safely.

Please share this with anyone in the area—the more eyes, the better.

We’re actively working the area. We’re not done. 💙

🚨 LOST DOG – COLGATE / LISBON AREA 🚨

We need the community’s help locating Bella, a 5 lb Yorkie mix missing since Friday around 4 PM near Colgate Rd & Hwy Q. She was last seen near North Lisbon Rd & Town Line Rd.

This is an active search. Bella is extremely small, and while she is friendly, she is likely scared and in survival mode.

This area includes residential properties, roadside ditches, and wooded pockets—ground sightings are critical right now.

👉 If you see Bella:
• DO NOT chase or call out
• Do not approach
• Note exact location, time, and direction of travel
• Report sightings immediately

Dogs this size can hide easily and move quickly between properties. Even the smallest detail can make the difference.

Please share this with anyone in the area—the more eyes, the better chance we bring Bella home safely.

We’re actively monitoring and ready to assist. We’re not done. 💙

🐾 𝐊𝐎𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃! ❤️

After 𝟖 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐞 / 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚, Koto’s adventure has finally come to an end — and he’s heading home to his family.

I arrived at the owner’s home around 𝟓:𝟒𝟓 𝐏𝐌 to assist with the search. After talking through the situation and driving the neighborhood to understand the terrain, we filed our flight plan with the FAA and launched the thermal drone around 𝟔:𝟏𝟓 𝐏𝐌.

It was a 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, and we began by flying the 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 to clear that corridor first. The tall electrical transmission towers between the tracks and 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 meant we had to relocate to a second launch point before continuing the search.

Shortly after our second takeoff we spotted what appeared to be a dog just inside the park fence line. The owner checked the thermal feed to verify — but it turned out to be a 𝐝𝐨𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤. Thermal imaging reveals a lot of wildlife activity at night — rabbits appear as tiny bouncing dots and deer glow brightly against the cold ground.

We had about 𝟑𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 when the owner suddenly received a text message:

“𝐖𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠.”

A photo followed — and it was 𝐊𝐨𝐭𝐨.

The owner and her son quickly jumped in their vehicle to go get him while I brought the drone back and wrapped up the search.

I didn’t get to meet Koto myself — he had some injuries and needed to head straight to the veterinary clinic — but thankfully he appears to be 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 and should soon be back home enjoying 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐮𝐛𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲.

Even though the drone didn’t end up being the one to find him, this still feels like a 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐧. Lost pet searches are rarely solved by one person or one tool. They happen when 𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.

After 𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚, Koto’s journey finally ends where it belongs.

𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞.

If you ever have a lost pet situation where aerial thermal search might help, feel free to reach out.

🚨 FOUND! LOST DOG – BROWN DEER, WI 🚨

Thank you to everyone who shared and kept an eye out in the Brown Deer area. After 8 days on the run, Koto is back with his family. Community support and neighbor sightings helped bring this story to a happy ending. 💙

Please help us locate Koto, a black Labrador / Shepherd mix last seen near N. 42nd St in Brown Deer.

A thermal drone search is being planned, but community sightings are critical right now.

👉 If you see Koto:
• Do NOT chase or call out
• Note the exact location and direction of travel
• Report the sighting immediately

Lost dogs are often scared and in survival mode, so calm observation helps us track them safely.

Please share this post so more neighbors can keep an eye out and help bring Koto home.

🚨 LOST DOG – FRANKLIN, WI (Near 60th & Drexel) 🚨

We need the community’s help locating Jack, an Australian Shepherd mix missing in Franklin near 60th Street and Drexel Avenue.

I’m currently on location flying with Leonard from Thermal Drone SAR Services, LLC. We’ve completed aerial sweeps of the immediate area. So far, no confirmed visual — but this is still very active.

This area includes residential neighborhoods, wooded pockets, and open spaces. Thermal can help — but ground sightings are absolutely critical right now.

👉 If you see Jack:
• DO NOT call out or chase
• Do not approach
• Note exact location, time, and direction of travel
• Report sightings immediately

Lost dogs in survival mode often avoid people — even their owners. Calm, quiet observation gives us the best chance of bringing Jack home safely.

Please share this post with anyone in the Franklin area. The more eyes we have, the better.

We’re not done. 💙
