Sometimes a space doesn’t need a complete makeover it just needs the right color.

We transformed this entryway by adding a beautiful shiplap accent wall and finishing it in Sherwin Williams SW 6211 Rainwashed.

The soft blue green of Rainwashed pairs beautifully with the white trim, warm wood tones, and natural decor, giving this entryway a fresh, calm coastal feel.

It’s amazing what the right combination of texture + color can do for a space!

Wallpaper is a total game changer

If you’re on the fence about wallpaper don’t be. It’s one of my favorite things to install because of just how much personality it brings to a space. A few recent favorites:

🌸 A magnolia floral that turned a plain powder room into something everyone enjoys when they walk in
🏔️ A moody mountain mural that made an empty bedroom wall feel like a window to the Blue Ridge
🌼 A delicate floral print that warmed up a stairwell nook

Wallpaper isn’t just for accent walls anymore it’s showing up in laundry rooms, stairwells, powder rooms, nurseries, you name it. And the install matters just as much as the pattern you pick seams, pattern matching, and prep make or break the final look.

Thinking about wallpaper for a room in your home? Send me a message I’d love to help bring your vision to life.

We don’t take words like these for granted, “attention to detail, clean lines, a space that finally feels intentional”.. hearing it from the homeowners who trusted us with their homes is the whole reason we do this.

Reviews mean more to a small business than most people realize, they’re how other local homeowners find us and decide to trust us. If we’ve worked with you, a quick review means the world.

Did you know the exact same stain can look completely different depending on the wood it's going on? The grain, the density, the age, the type of wood, it all changes the final color.

Take a look at the two pieces in the photo. Same stains, applied the same way and you can see for yourself how differently they turned out. That's exactly why matching to an existing piece takes a little know-how to get right.

When C&A Custom Builders reached out about matching a new built-in to an existing fireplace, I knew this would take more than grabbing a stain off the shelf. In the end, the built-in and the fireplace looked like they were always meant to go together and the client was thrilled!

Is white the new gray?

We’ve been getting a lot of calls lately to repaint gray walls white. Don’t get me wrong, gray still works in plenty of homes but the shift toward lighter, warmer whites has been hard to miss this year.

Here’s a recent one. Before and after.
If you’re thinking about a refresh, we’ll help you land on a color that works with your trim, floors, and light.

Hey Lowcountry! 👋
I’m Baryn owner of Drift Painting, an interior painting and wallpaper installation company now serving Summerville, Charleston, and everywhere in between.

My wife, son, and I recently put down roots here, and there’s no place we’d rather build something. Drift is my way of doing that one home, one careful coat at a time.

To kick things off I’m inviting a small group of neighbors into our First Coat Club:

👉 10% off every project for 18 months
👉 Interior painting + wallpaper installation
👉 Residential homes in Summerville & Charleston
👉 Free estimates and in-home walkthroughs
👉 Limited spots when launch closes, the rate closes with it

It’s not a one time discount. It’s a year and a half of savings every time we work together an accent wall now, a full repaint down the road, that wallpaper project you’ve been putting off.

Here’s what you can expect: clean lines, careful prep, and a finished product that actually looks the way you imagined. No shortcuts. No rushing. No mess left behind. I treat every home like it’s my own.

📩 DM me here for more info and claim your special discount today
