Charles was particularly interested in aviation security, especially in the post 9/11 world. He analyzed and critiqued airport security procedures, often providing suggestions for improvement so passengers and flight personnel could remain safe from terrorism. Charles emphasized that counting on the government and other entities for essentials like food, water, and additional necessities may prove unreliable in the aftermath of a natural disaster. We would like to honor and remember Charles Slepian by sharing who he was and some of the impact he had on the world through his important work.

Charles Slepian started out analyzing security for New York City Mayor John V. Lindsay during the 60s and 70s when repeated riots and civil disorders were rampant. In later positions, he coordinated protection services for visitors to NYC. Mr. Slepian started the Foreseeable Risk Analysis Center on the foundation of his expertise in large and small-scale security situations. Through the Foreseeable Risk Analysis Center, Mr. Slepian spread education about how companies and individuals can analyze risk factors and prepare safety procedures to get through potential catastrophes.

RIP Charles Slepian

"My dad, an amazing, caring, smart, and loving man passed away very peacefully this afternoon. We were all with him, and it was almost like he waited for so many of us to be by his side. Much like how he lived his life, he went on his own terms. He decided that after 3 weeks, he was done with being in the hospital and wanted to join his beloved brother, mother, and all our pets. We miss him so much already, and as I told him, he will always be our dad, no matter where he is. We will always love him and never stop asking him for guidance in our lives."
