Equipment Spotlight: The Cement Grinder 🔦
​Ever wonder how we get such a flawless, long-lasting finish on our concrete projects? It all starts with the right prep work!

​Pictured first is our cement grinder. This powerful machine preps the concrete surface by grinding away imperfections and opening up the pores. By creating the ideal profile, it ensures the perfect bond for coatings, sealers, or overlays to adhere beautifully.
​In the second photo, you can see exactly why this step is so critical on a basement floor we're currently working on:

​On the left: The concrete has been ground down, revealing a clean, porous, and perfectly prepped surface.

​On the right: The untouched, unprepared concrete.

​I’m Daniel Flores, owner of Ashland Armor Coatings. My mission is simple: bring beautiful, long-lasting concrete floors to Ashland and the surrounding area without the luxury price tag.

​That picture is me proudly holding our very first print ad. As a local startup, I don’t believe in corporate runarounds. When you contact Ashland Armor Coatings, you’re working directly with our family from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.

​By day, I’m a civil designer, which has given me a deep understanding of concrete and the importance of proper preparation. I bring that same attention to detail to every floor I install.

​I’m also a U.S. Marine veteran, a husband, a father, and a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. The discipline, integrity, and commitment I learned through my faith and service are the foundation of this business.

​My hope is to grow Ashland Armor Coatings into a full-time business that serves families well and leaves every customer with something they’ll be proud to show off.
