Sometimes a homeowner gets ambitious on a weekend or sometimes they wants to help out friend’s kid who needs a little extra money…and then there’s a mud pit in the front yard for a month or 2. Occasionally, we are called in to fix or finish a project after a failed attempt. Happy to help this client scratch “Finish Wall Out Front” off their Honey Do List!

A couple of avid hikers, these clients wanted a natural feel to these steps providing access from their driveway down into their backyard. Less formal than stine step treads and perfect for a homeowner who likes irregular and naturemade boulder steps.

Segmental concrete block steps and walls, natural stone step treads, slate chip paths…all navigate this slope down to the lake.

BEFORE & AFTERS
This messy, hard-to-use slope was transformed with tiered boulder walls, natural stone steps, and a flagstone patio centered around a custom fire pit. The lower boulder wall is used for seating when the fire pit fills up with friends and family.

We love taking the awkward parts of a yard and turning them into spaces people actually want to use.

Why have 1 when you can have 2?

Close to the house, a gas fire pit creates a relaxed gathering spot for conversation and ambiance.

Tucked farther into the woods, a much larger wood-burning fire pit is made for bigger fires, bigger gatherings, and nights that get a little more lively.

Same backyard. Two completely different ways to enjoy it.

Permeable pavers- when you need more driveway, additional parking, or extra patio space but water flow is an issue. Maybe your impervious surface area lot coverage is tight. These pavers with open aggregate joints and the proper reservoir base will allow you to have usable surfaces while addressing water and coverage issues. And they look great too!
