🤣 BU****LE. YEP. THAT'S A REAL WORD. 💀😂

Y'all. I can't make this stuff up!

I was today years old when I learned that B**G and BU****LE are ACTUAL, LEGITIMATE WORDS!

Okay, to be fair, I was last Saturday years old, but that's beside the point!

Don't believe me?! GO LOOK IT UP! 🤣

A HUGE thank you to Homestead Wife Life for this little nugget of homesteading education I never knew I needed!

Who knew homesteading would expand my vocabulary in such unexpected ways?! 😂

Anyways... y'all HAVE to watch this one!

It is fig season, which means it is time to add a new vinegar to ou...

Probably my favorite version of our Garden Supervisor Zelda.

What are your thoughts? Did we capture him perfectly?

💅🌿 Something you may not know about me!

I actually went to cosmetology school and held my license for years! Doing nails is still one of my favorite forms of self-care. ❤️

Yes. I did these... you should see all the other cool ones I have done!

But anyhow... here's where it all connects to The Can Do Cottage Apothecary!

Cosmetology wasn't just about hair and nails. It's where I learned about skin, massage, oils, and how different ingredients are used in body care. That sparked my curiosity about botanicals and creating things with my own two hands.

Heck, my textbook even had a recipe for a lotion with ouls for swollen ankles! And you better believe my very pregnant self tried it. Those ankles were fighting for their lives! 🤣

That curiosity never left. It just grew into a love for herbs, homemade remedies, and handcrafted self-care.

Turns out, The Can Do Cottage was brewing long before it had a name. 🌿🫖😂

🍅🌿 There’s something really satisfying about turning hard work and patience into something that feeds your family. ❤️

Wednesday's spaghetti sauce was made with tomatoes and basil we grew ourselves, plus a little homemade tomato powder.

And yes, red w**e too.

For flavor, calm down. 🍷😂

Basically… The Can Do Cottage in a skillet. 🌿🍅

“But Great Pyrenees are SO cute and fluffy!” 🥹🐾

Oh, you sweet, innocent soul. Clearly, you've never owned one. 😂🤣

Meet Odin. 100+ pounds of fluff, sass, stubbornness, and absolutely ZERO respect for authority. 👑🐾

Imagine living with a giant, furry teenager who:

🐾 Has selective hearing that magically disappears when a cheese wrapper opens.

🐾 Sheds enough fur daily to build a backup dog.

🐾 Thinks commands are merely suggestions from the peasants.

🐾 Has the attitude of a 16-year-old who just got their phone taken away.

🐾 Will look you DEAD in the eyes while doing exactly what you told him NOT to do.

As you can see, Odin doesn't believe in obedience. He believes in negotiations… and apparently, I'm not qualified to negotiate. 🙄🤣

I'm not his owner. I'm his unpaid personal assistant who provides snacks, room service, and belly rubs.

And the worst part? He's so ridiculously adorable that he gets away with ALL OF IT. 😭❤️

This oversized, four-legged drama llama runs the household without paying a single bill. 🤣🐾

Great Pyrenees owners… please tell me yours came with an attitude problem too?! 😂

🌿🫖 WHAT'S BREWING AT THE CAN DO COTTAGE?!

More tea blends, that's what! And maybe a few other creations... because apparently I cannot be left unsupervised. 😂

Our newest blend is inspired by my oldest daughter, Ella, who wanted something for those nights when her brain has approximately 47 tabs open and bedtime isn't one of them!

🌿 MIND YOUR MINT 🌿

“Because your 'tism isn't any of their business.” 💜😂

Move over, Sleeping Beauty... this one's made for a REAL princess! 👑

A beautiful blend of Moroccan mint, lavender, and lemon balm. Made for those evenings when even a princess needs a little peace and quiet.

And so far?! TEST ROUND #1 IS A COMPLETE SUCCESS! 🫖🌿

GO ME! 😆😂

Now, somebody probably ought to supervise me before I invent another five blends.

Nahhhh. Where's the fun in that?! 💀🤣

🌿 Homegrown, handmade, & slightly unhinged.

🌙☕ Something's brewing at The Can Do Cottage...

Is it tea? Is it trouble? Is it another questionable decision disguised as a brilliant idea?

Yes. 🖤🌿😂

Stay tuned, y'all. The plot is steeping. 🫖✨

🌿 LET'S TALK ABOUT CREASY AVIATION FARMS (a.k.a. Farmer Nick!) 🌱😂

Remember ALLLLLL that basil we had this year?!

Well, y'all can thank Nick for a whole lot of it, including ALL of the gorgeous Red Rubin basil! ❤️🌿

He's officially one of our favorite enablers of The Can Do Cottage botanical shenanigans! 🤣

But seriously, Nick, I hope you know how much we appreciate you. You didn't have to share your harvest with us, but you did, and SO generously! Your kindness, encouragement, and willingness to help us grow have meant more than you probably realize. It's people like you who make this little adventure so special. ❤️

And because sharing his plants wasn't enough, he's built an AWESOME website to share his gardening knowledge, too!

Y'all, go check it out and show Farmer Nick some love! 🌱

P.S. Nick, I think you may have accidentally inspired Daniel to build an entire basil empire... and I'm not sure either of you fully understands what you've unleashed. 😂🌿❤️
