from a young age our founder, laura wright, has made elaborate greeting cards and ornate invitations for family and friends. she has spent many hours diligently writing 'thank-you' notes for every occasion and the importance of written correspondence was instilled in her from the beginning. since then, her work has evolved and she works with a variety of media. her fine art pieces can be found in private collections spanning from the atlantic to the pacific oceans and beyond. she is inspired by everything and her creativity is limited only by time. desiring to share whimsy and joy, laura brings you LOinLONDON. we sincerely hope you enjoy!

What's more fun than live portrait painting...?! Live portrait painting with a buddy!!!

WHAT FUN I had painting alongside the very talented Elysia King at last month's WIPA St. Louis event! What a joy to get to know her better and watch her work unfold! We've got similar processes, different styles... but equally sunny dispositions! 😘 Let's do it again sometime!!!

Oh! And a giant thank you to everyone who allowed us to paint for you... our time and supplies were donated and all proceeds went to support LOVEtheLOU ... and it was an honor to be asked!

CELEBRATIONS, big and small!!

There's always a reason to celebrate, even if you have to look a little closer! For me, it's...

🎉 my cup of hot morning tea
🎉 the chaos of organizing a garage sale with my parents
🎉 a late night glass of w**e with my mom, my brother and a new friend
🎉 placing an order from my friend's newly opened small business P. Pleasant Atelier
🎉 FINALLY putting back together a bathroom that has been under construction for 2 years
🎉 cheering on my husband as he works hard for a goal
🎉 making homemade pizzas on a Friday night
🎉 laughing at all the comedic things my dogs do in a day
🎉 buying a designer dress for an upcoming live painting job
🎉 a friendly hello with the staff we know and see often at Home Depot
..all of these little things, all these small moments... they add up to be the sum of your life. Enjoy them. Celebrate them!

And on the BIGGER front...
🎉 I'm so looking forward to celebrating my cousin's wedding next weekend! I can't wait to get dressed "funky formal", see family from out of town, celebrate the young couple... oh... and see all of my work unfold... 🤪🥰

There's really no reason that I don't share the finished pieces... except that usually I leave late and the lighting is bad (so they are hard to accurately capture)... I'm under the general impression that process videos are more interesting to the public... but, mostly because I just don't take the time to format them properly...

So if you've been asking, this post is for you! A smattering of past live painting work, in no particular order!! Each one was a super fun memory that way a joy to revisit this morning! 🥰
