from a young age our founder, laura wright, has made elaborate greeting cards and ornate invitations for family and friends. she has spent many hours diligently writing 'thank-you' notes for every occasion and the importance of written correspondence was instilled in her from the beginning. since then, her work has evolved and she works with a variety of media. her fine art pieces can be found in

JOYFUL FRIDAY-

Lunchtime adventures
Turning old things into new things

And Vincent's new bed

All wrapped up into one fun thing...

My mom and I bought this sleigh from when we were in Kansas City in December... we decided it would be the perfect little bed for Vincent (who likes to make nests)- but first two shelves needed to be removed. I had a dear friend here this week who was kind enough to tackle some long neglected errands with me... thank you for allowing me the time to do this... and THANK YOU to Awerkamp Machine Co. in Quincy who always seem to navigate my quirky projects with patience, grace and skill. Oh- and thank you to my husband who not only puts up with and supports my weird projects, but also adds his own creative spin (often making them even more time consuming and/or costly), ultimately making everything even better!!

Shelves officially removed, now moving on to custom upholstery and paint... 🤗

Haven't been spending much time in my little studio space lately and I certainly have not created any art for myself (since my painted handbag fiasco 🙃)...

My life has been busy, full of joy, fancy outfits and friends- new and old. The chaos continues for a month longer- and while I'm thankful for new opportunities, unique projects and alllll of your business- I do cherish these quiet moments of work, too- curled up on a little black loveseat, with a dog (or three) by my side, in a bright green, circus themed room and a paint brush in hand...

A WEEKEND AT HOME ❤️

After go-go-going for weeks, I'm "taking it easy" at home with my favorite crew this weekend- power spraying patio furniture today and deep cleaning my house tomorrow- a much needed reset before another full stretch of live painting.

Love this crew. Grateful for this life. Happy Saturday, friends!
