Happy Saturday! 🌿✨
I think I’m getting pretty good at rehabbing Anthuriums!
My Crystallinum x Carla cross took months to push out a new leaf, but it’s finally unfurled and sizing up! Another seedling in my DIY humidity dome is making steady progress, too.
Today, I’m taking that same rehab process to my Red Crystallinum x Magnificum. It lost a lot of roots and leaves, and this last leaf is pretty much gone. I kept it on to reabsorb nutrients, but it’s time to chop it, check the roots, and get it into damp sphagnum moss and a high-humidity dome.

There is absolutely nothing quite like watching a fresh emergent leaf push out, and this assumed red Crystallinum x dorayaki cross is officially my absolute favorite right now.
That soft rosy-bronze leaf tone paired with those glowing pinkish-red veins literally makes me swoon every single time. 🥹🌱

I think pollination was a success! All the little droplets 💧 dried up, and it’s showing that classic residue at the base where it was wet before. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 the berry development goes smoothly over the next few weeks! What are your best tips for keeping humidity steady during the wait?

Happy Tuesday, plant family! 🌿✨

My Anthurium Zara hybrid produced a fresh inflorescence in its receptive female stage, complete with those tiny, glistening stigmatic droplets! After seeing Britt Parrish successfully pollinate her DocBlock Michelle, I was so inspired to finally try my hand at pollinating this beauty using saved pollen stored in the freezer.
Without a specialized brush nearby, I put my AI research to the test and used a clean fingertip to apply the pollen grains directly to the spadix. It looks like the transfer was a success! Fingers crossed for some future hybrid berries 🤞🏾🪴

Woke up on this Happy Sunday to a whole growth spurt! 🪴✨ It feels like everyone decided to push out a new leaf overnight—some are freshly emerged, others are so close to unfurling, and every single one made my morning. Nothing beats watching a new leaf take shape! 💚🙏🏾🌿

Despite losing a leaf during transition, that newest leaf is hardening off so nicely, and there’s already another fresh red emergent leaf pushing through! 🌱✨ Pretty sure this stunning beauty is a Red Crystallinum from Costa Farms ! 🩸✨
