📅 Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities — We NEED Our Kind Crew! 💙
Kind Human 4 Human Kind is heading into the busiest and most important part of our year, and we need our Kind Crew!
The next few months include World Kindness Day, our final Homeless Survival Backpack Assembly of the year, and our HUGE Spirit of Giving Christmas giveaway. These programs serve hundreds of households and thousands of local people — and they simply cannot happen without volunteers.
💛 NOVEMBER 13 – WORLD KINDNESS DAY
Join our Kind Crew as we spend the day spreading kindness throughout St. Clair County!
There will be opportunities for people of different ages and abilities to participate as we work together to fill our community with intentional acts of kindness.

🎒 NOVEMBER 21 – HOMELESS SURVIVAL BACKPACK ASSEMBLY
Help us prepare our final Homeless Survival Backpacks of the year for our unhoused neighbors as colder Michigan weather arrives.
Each backpack is packed with approximately 45 essential survival items, and many hands are needed to organize supplies and get every bag ready for distribution.

🎄 DECEMBER 4 & 5 – SPIRIT OF GIVING CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY
🚨 WE NEED A MINIMUM OF 50 VOLUNTEERS EACH DAY TO HOLD THIS EVENT. 🚨
We cannot emphasize this enough:
We cannot hold Spirit of Giving without at least 50 volunteers for setup on December 4 AND at least 50 volunteers for the giveaway on December 5.
This is our largest event of the year. Hundreds of households come through our doors, representing thousands of local people, and an event of this size simply cannot be safely, efficiently and joyfully run by a handful of people.
Spirit of Giving takes months of collecting, sorting, inventorying and organizing before the doors ever open. Then we have an enormous space to set up, thousands upon thousands of items to put out, families to welcome and assist, tables to continuously restock and an entire event to clean up afterward.
We need help with sorting, inventory, setup, registration, stocking tables, assisting families, children’s areas, hospitality, cleanup and all of the behind-the-scenes work that makes this day possible.
We especially need GROUPS willing to volunteer together!
📚 National Honor Societies & student organizations — Need service hours? Bring your members and spend a day making a real difference in your own community.
🏀 Sports teams, coaches & athletic organizations — Make volunteering a team activity. We need strong hands, positive attitudes and people who know how to work together.
🏢 Businesses & workplaces — Bring your coworkers together for a hands-on employee volunteer opportunity that directly impacts local families.
⛪ Churches, youth groups & faith communities — If your group has been looking for a meaningful, hands-on way to serve your neighbors this Christmas season, we NEED you.
🤝 Clubs, civic organizations, families and groups of friends — Gather your people and come volunteer together!
Please SHARE this post with your local schools, National Honor Societies, sports teams, workplaces, churches, clubs and community organizations.
We need to know NOW that we will have enough people. Please don’t wait until December to sign up.

No special experience is needed. We welcome volunteers of different ages, abilities, schedules and activity levels, and we are happy to verify student and community service hours.
