Some of these driveways and patios we do are large enough we cannot pour them all in one pour. In situations like this we have to plan on our reinforcement being extended between these pours so these cold joints dont end up as week spots that allow for setteling, etc. Here we are using some fiberglass rebar (use a lot of flatwork anymore) and they notched their form boards to allow for it to extend well past the form and the next mat can be tied in with to extend that reinforcement.
