🌳 Why Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain?

There are plenty of plumbing companies you can call.

So why should you call us?

Sure, we’re licensed, insured and experienced—but honestly, those are things you should expect from any professional plumbing company.

We believe the difference is how we treat people.

When you invite us into your home, our goal is pretty simple:

✔️ Show up when we say we will
✔️ Listen before jumping to conclusions
✔️ Diagnose the problem instead of guessing
✔️ Explain what we find so you understand it
✔️ Give you options whenever possible
✔️ Respect your home, your time and your money
✔️ Stand behind the work we perform

And are we going to be perfect every single time? No company is.

But if we get something wrong, we’ll own it and do our best to make it right.

We’re not interested in being the plumber you call once.

We want to earn the right to be YOUR plumber—the company you already know you can call when something goes wrong.

That’s the kind of company we’re working to build every day.

One home. One customer. One relationship at a time.

🔥 Does your water heater pilot seem to go out more often during the summer?

Believe it or not, the Texas heat may be part of the problem.

In our area, a lot of gas water heaters are installed in attics. During the summer, those attics can get EXTREMELY hot—and an atmospheric gas water heater still needs an adequate supply of fresh air for proper combustion and venting.

When we get calls for pilots that repeatedly go out, we don’t automatically assume the water heater needs parts.

We want to know WHY it’s happening.

We look at things like:

🔧 Available combustion air
🔧 Attic ventilation
🔧 Blocked or restricted air intakes
🔧 Proper venting
🔧 The overall installation environment

In some situations, we’ve installed a properly sized fresh-air duct from the soffit/eave to improve the combustion air available to the water heater—and we’ll show you some examples in these photos.

Sometimes fixing a problem isn’t about replacing another part.

It’s about understanding what’s causing the problem in the first place.

And that’s the difference between fixing a symptom and actually diagnosing the system.

⭐ CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT ⭐

Getting the first call is great.

Getting the fourth call means even more.

Every time someone invites us into their home, we have an opportunity to earn their trust. When that same homeowner continues calling Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain when they need a plumber, we know we’ve done something right.

Gloria has trusted our team with her home multiple times, and on her most recent call, Kevin had the opportunity to take care of her.

As a local, family-owned company, these are the relationships we want to build—customers who don’t have to wonder who they’re going to call the next time a plumbing problem comes up.

They already have their plumber.

Gloria, thank you for continuing to put your trust in Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain. Four calls later, we appreciate you more than ever!

And great job, Kevin, for continuing to represent what Grand Oaks is all about.

Kevin might say he’s not bragging in this video… 😏

We’ll just say we’re pretty darn proud of what our team has built and the reputation they’ve earned.

When you need a plumber, don’t just take our word for it.

💧 If a pipe burst in your home right now… would you know how to shut the water off?

It’s one of the simplest things every homeowner should know, but many don’t find out until it’s an emergency.

Taking two minutes to locate your home’s main water shut-off valve today could save thousands of dollars in water damage tomorrow.

If you own a home, here’s a quick challenge:

✅ Find your main shut-off.
✅ Make sure everyone in your household knows where it is.
✅ Verify it actually turns.

You’ll probably never need it…

But if you ever do, you’ll be glad you knew where to find it.

⭐ Customer Spotlight ⭐️

One of the best parts of serving our community is earning the trust of homeowners who choose to call us.

Sometimes it’s a major plumbing repair. Sometimes it’s simply taking the time to answer questions, explain the options, and help someone make the right decision for their home.

That’s the kind of experience we strive to provide on every service call.

A sincere thank you to Dan from The Woodlands for trusting Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain and for taking the time to share your experience. Your support means more to us than you know.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve this community every day.

🚽 Think your toilet would let you know if it had a leak? Think again.

One of the most common plumbing issues we find during home inspections is a toilet that’s quietly running.

Many homeowners never notice because:
• You don’t hear it.
• You don’t see it.
• It doesn’t make a mess.

But over weeks or months, that tiny leak can waste thousands of gallons of water and lead to an unexpectedly high water bill.

A simple test:
✔️ Put a few drops of food coloring in the toilet tank.
✔️ Wait 15–20 minutes without flushing.
✔️ If color appears in the bowl, you have a leak.

The good news? Many toilet leaks are inexpensive to repair if caught early.

A little maintenance today can prevent a bigger bill tomorrow.
