A little PSA weâd like to share with our past customers, current customers, and anyone looking to hire a contractor.
In todayâs worldâespecially in the construction and landscaping industryâthere are a lot of companies willing to cut corners just to win a job. A good rule of thumb is this, if a quote sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
We are not going to be the cheapest option we try to maintain a fair industry standard price. Unfortunately, in more than once case when we were more expensive and the client chose not to go with us. We were later called back to repair or completely redo the work completed by the cheaper contractor.
The lower price usually isnât because someone found a special way or process to do the same quality work for less. More often, itâs because theyâre cutting corners using less material, skipping proper excavation depths, rushing the installation, or leaving out critical steps that you canât see once the project is finished.
At Marek Family Landscape & Excavation, weâve invested heavily in the right equipment, skilled employees, and proven installation methods so we can complete projects efficiently without sacrificing quality. That being said we also believe that responsive customer service is just as important as the work itself.
Think about it like buying a cooler. You can buy a cheap cooler and save money today, but it probably wonât last, wonât perform as well, and youâll likely replace it sooner than youâd like. Or you can invest in a YETI. It costs more upfront, but itâs built to last and performs the way itâs supposed to.
Hiring a contractor is no different.
You can pay once and have it done right, or you can pay twice to fix it later.
We understand that everyone has a budget, and we respect that. But when comparing estimates, donât just compare the bottom lineâcompare the materials, the process, the experience, the warranty, and the reputation behind the company.
