Warm, damp air today. Clocks Spring forward tomorrow. I feel like we’ve survived winter! 🤗

First Sign of SPRING
Today, in the second half of February, I took down the rest of my winter decorations. Christmas has been down for a month, but snowflakes were put away.

As I was rearranging things, I picked up a house plant and immediately made eye contact with a real live FROG!! It has been hibernating in there since September. The ironic part - the green pot has frogs on it and so the little creature felt welcome. 🐸

My heart rate is still elevated, my 10 year old son won’t touch it, so it is on the porch. I am eyeing all of my other beloved house plants and have considered dragging them to the curb. Should I sell the house? I am kinda queasy. Send help! I do love Spring, but maybe I am happy to ‘Winter’ a while longer.

🎶 I’ve got the JOY, JOY, JOY down in my ❤️ Down in my heart to stay… So happy!

Prepping a craft for a 4th grade classroom Christmas party. I found a going out of business sale at a Dollar Tree and found loads of wooden beads for .25/strand. I will show a sample once I get a wreath ornament finished. 🎄

Twinkle lights and candles add such a cozy vibe. Just starting to trickle in some holiday decorations. I am impressed with these LED taper candle sticks. They operate with a remote control. The flame flickers and you can control the brightness and set to a timer. Picture behind the stove is from Target and is hung by velcro command strips. Silver candle holders on dining room table found at Goodwill and they had 2 sets of them (silver plated) for cheaper than plastic candle holders on Amazon. #ｔｗｉｎｋｌｅ ✨

I did it. I think I am in my neutral, middle-age, vanilla era. The walls are SW Steamed Milk and the ceiling SW Pure White. Trim stayed the same creamy color. This was challenging- everything took 3 coats of paint. As I started rolling the ceiling it immediately started to bubble so I had to scrape, spackle, sand and start again. I was so scared it might happen again, but thankfully
it didn’t.

Looking for flooring suggestions: Wood look, easy to install & maintain, plus they have to be durable. This same floor will go through kitchen, dining room and formal living room.

I can’t stop staring at this beautiful inspiration kitchen. The textures and calm neutrals have me busy painting the ceiling & walls creamy white. By covering everything in the same color as the cabinets, I am hopeful that the room feels more cohesive. Floors will be replaced in the near future and I hope I can replicate the beams, too. Stay tuned!
