OOPS.... There's Been an "Accident"

Unfortunately, some "material" ended up in the pool this morning that caused the closure of the pool. Clarity Pool folks are dealing with the issue and have informed us that the pool will remain closed until 3pm this afternoon.

WE NEED YOUR DONATIONS!
Heritage Lakes annual Independence Day Celebration is the biggest community event of the year and your board works hard to try and make each year's event better than the last. We can always use volunteers to help put the event on but to really make it a success, we need your donations.

Every little bit helps as we anticipate the cost of fireworks to increase this year. Click the link below to join those that have already donated.

Our fundraising goal is $6,000..... with a major donation coming from a corporate sponsor, we're currently tracking $4,250 as of May 16th. With a little help from our community members, we should reach our goal!

BEAUTIFICATION OUTSIDE OF HERITAGE LAKES
As many of you might know, Brian Barron does a ton of things, quietly without asking for recognition. One of those things is organizing a crew of volunteers that go out on HWY 14 and pickup all the litter on a two mile stretch that borders our community.

This week those volunteers included Rick and Janet Parkinson, Sara Hamby and Larry Felton joining Brian in keeping things looking good. We appreciate you all more than you know!

LOADS OF WORK DONE BY OUR RESIDENTS
If you've been up to the clubhouse and play area recently, you may have noticed some terrific updates. A big thanks to board member Kevin Carr and resident Jim Herd for volunteering their time replacing the old wood on our tables and benches. Kevin handled getting the wood and redid the tables, Jim helped with the benches. Jim replaced the broken concrete landing at the side door to the kitchen area of the clubhouse as well.

Jim also took the time to repair the mount of the fallen light pole at the back corner of the pool area. Once we get the electrical hook up checked and tested, lighting at the pool will be all set.

Last but not least, you may notice some new seedlings popping up at the front of the clubhouse. Dawn Kovach, board member and clubhouse manager sowed those seeds at the last community workday. In a few short weeks those seedlings will bring all kinds of color to the landscape... Zinnias!!

With neighbors like these, Heritage Lakes always looks its best!

THANK YOU ALL!!
