We ran out of room for the dirt about 200 tons ago. Just one of the finer details of dirt work. ๐
We had the privilege of digging a foundation for a new home when we hit plastic clay. When you run into clay like that, you canโt just build on top of it and hope for the best. We had to over-dig until we reached suitable material so the foundation has a solid, stable base.
That meant a whole lot more dirt to move, but this is one of those things you do right the first time. We put in the extra work now to help keep the homeowners from dealing with settlement problems down the road.
Weโre waiting on the foundation walls to be poured, then weโll be back to backfill everything, clean it up, and get it ready for the flat work.
Weโre thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this project and appreciate every customer who trusts us with their dirt work. If you need 1,400 tons of dirt, we know a guy. ๐
