So many things in so little space! Kitchen gardening, interplanting, and succession planting can allow you wiggle room for trying a wide variety of things. In one 8x4 box, I have celery, parsley, oregano, chives, nasturtium, borage, spinach, arugula, crisp mint romaine, little gem lettuce, mesclun, mint, candy red onions, bright lights Swiss chard, three types of carrots, two types of radishes, and I STILL HAVE 3x4 open for more carrot and radish successions or other whims.
And that is just ONE of my boxes. ❤️ 🌱

Here’s just a SAMPLE of what we’ve got going in the QC Kitchen Gardens this year. Our gardens are 43x50, and that includes two 4x12 and five 4x4 raised beds. We don’t use any sprays, focus on attracting beneficial insects, care for our soil, and invest time in companion and succession planting. We turn out BIG volumes in a little space. And so can you!
Follow us this season to learn about how we plan, start, grow, tend, harvest and EAT from our gardens.
I can help you plan your garden, too! Send me a message to set up a time for us to plan your 3-season garden.

Good news and bad news, everyone. Bad news is that due to some personal and family matters I won’t be able to make it to tomorrows Farmer’s Market in Shinnston. I am heartbroken to be missing the last of the season. 💔
The good news is that pie season is upon us, and my newest venture, Quite Contrary Cafe LLC at Mountain State Auto Auction, is giving me some great opportunities to expand my offerings to you. And we all know, pie season is upon us! Watch for opportunities to order pies for the holidays (or, you know, a random Wednesday breakfast with your coffee). 😉
So excited to see you all again soon!
