Today we had a concerning tree for the home owner. It was separating at the base and the leg of the tree towards the house was slowly getting closer to the house in the stronger winds we have recently had.

Hello! I am bringing up a topic that has been on my mind. When working on public areas, such as schools, government buildings, HOAs, and commercial properties, we sometimes get complaints regarding tree removal. The reasons for these concerns may differ, with some being more evident than others. Here are some pictures of a tree trunk that demonstrates a less obvious reason for these concerns.

Some times after strong storms and wind,You will find areas that damage only certain legs of a tree.
This one was interesting in it split out the bark and sap wood not damaging the heart wood of this main lead. It still needed to be removed for safety reasons. But only the damaged lead.
