Had fun thrifting for items and putting together gift baskets for one of my other day jobs. Our doula nonprofit KC End of Life had our annual meeting and we heard from an amazing speaker from Recompose educating us on Human Composting. What a wonderful green alternative for burial! Right in line with my focus on sustainability and making things new. The soil that is produced can be used by the family to grow something long lasting and meaningful in memory of their loved one. Truly beautiful circle of life ❤️

Miracle! Ps don’t ever paint fabric 🤦‍♀️ “they” might say you can but it’s horrible and gross feeling. Don’t.
Tried magic eraser, nope, and then wet wash cloth with mineral spirits; neither touched the paint on the wood. Acetone nail polish remover for the win! 🥇

This couch, OY to say the very least. Someone called her a beast yesterday and is right on. She’s HUGE and I do not have as much time to work on Upholstery as I would like. Welp, not to jinx myself but she’s almost done. The outside arms, outside back and dust cover on the bottom are what is left…wish me luck and send a good vibe not to mess anything up with the final steps! She’s white and it’s scary 🫣

My beautiful and loving girlfriends from college get together every year for Christmas. A few are missing each year, but they come up in stories and memories. This year we were tasked with bringing a “favorite thing” to gift to everyone. SO I decided it was the perfect time to try DIY candle making for the first time! I found intricate and delicate Japanese two handled bowls at City Thrift, a perfect set of 10 for $24 😳 the replacements on this brand go for $79 each, what an amazing find! Did the candle thing (very easy!) after cleaning them and voila; a thrifted and hand-made with love gift for all my ladies 🎄
