We’re proud to kick off the 2026–2027 Electrical Apprenticeship School at The Cherokee Group!

This week, our apprentices came together for orientation of our certified in-house apprenticeship program.

There’s something special about being able to invest directly in the next generation of skilled tradespeople. We’re not just teaching the electrical trade - we’re helping individuals develop valuable skills, build confidence, and create careers that can support them and their families for years to come.

For The Cherokee Group, growing our own talent means building a stronger team, strengthening the skilled workforce in East Tennessee, and creating opportunities for people to build a future in an industry that needs them.

We’re excited to see what this group accomplishes over the year ahead!

Friday Night Lights hit a little differently when you helped put them there. With the jamboree kicking off tomorrow, we’re throwing it back to 2021 when The Cherokee Group Electrical Team took on the massive job of replacing the stadium lights at Sevier County, Gatlinburg, Northview, Seymour, and Pigeon Forge High Schools.

It was a big project, a great challenge, and one we’re still proud to see lighting up fields across Sevier County each football season.

Here’s to another year of Friday night lights, hometown teams, and high school football in the Smokies. Good luck to all the players, coaches, bands, cheerleaders, and families kicking off the season!

This summer, we were excited to welcome Cassidy & Tricia back for another internship with our electrical team! They spent the season gaining even more hands-on experience in electrical contracting, working hard, asking great questions, and jumping into every opportunity to expand their skills.

Investing in the next generation of skilled trades is something we take great pride in, and our team loved the opportunity to teach, mentor, and watch these two continue to grow.

Thanks for another great summer, Cassidy & Tricia. We're proud to have been part of your journey and can't wait to see where your careers take you!
