Love what you do. And your never work a day in your life. It’s incredible to be working on a shipsaw that is easily just as old as the boat were re building! I’ve been waiting a long time to get behind this baby! Here I was finishing off all the final cuts with bevels on the futtocks for frame 10a, Friday was a good day 🙌🏽

Well so far the adventure has been incredible, have seen some amazing places, met some lovely people and was welcomed into the centre for wooden boats, honoured to be handed a chisel and set a task. Also lent a hand to fit the two garboard plants and the first shear plank! Loving life! @ Seattle, Washington

Just a few pics of our most recent project 📸 very happy with the end result of this modern western red cedar garden office.
With narrow access to the rear garden, it took us a few extra hours and and a tad more energy to cart everything by hand and in wheel barrows but thats what We started off by removing a 6x2.5m by 2ft high raised bed, dug and poured the concrete footing and erected a 3 block high retaining wall, finished off with rebar and poured concrete into voids. Next we dug and poured the concrete foundering lay-off a course of bricks to keep timber up off the floor and the got cracking with the framing! Cabin was finished off with a lovely set of anthracite grey double doors and the secret door to the storage room. Couldn’t be more grateful for the beautiful weather we have had! ☀️

Big thanks to for supplying the beautiful timber 👌🏻 @ Bexhill, East Sussex

Well today is an exciting day! We have just been to collect the western red cedar we are using to clad our current project! It’s one thing rough sawn timber, but the minute you take that piece of wood and pass in through a planer it completely transforms the effect! The beauty of this timber, not only in its colour and grain patterns but the aroma it give off is just the loveliest thing!! I cannot wait to get framing!! big thanks to Lads over there do a great job!!! 👍

Here’s a few pictures of our current project on the go in little common, here you can see we have removed quite a large raised flower bed, built a retaining wall to hold back the remaining soil and neighbouring gardens fence, we then excavated and area of 6x3m to level ground to the set the shuttering of a 6” reinforced concrete base. One this had adequate time to cure we popped back to site to lay a single source of bring around the perimeter for out timbers to sit on top out out of any moisture.
